Does a great job setting up a sense of deep unease but that quickly evaporates when it becomes apparent the movie isn’t going anywhere worthwhile.

It is a shame that, for all the good things "Love Lies Bleeding" does, the ending is such a complete disaster.

"Lisa Frankenstein" is a bad Tim Burton movie with two unlikable main characters.

"The Last Voyage of the Demeter" is a harrowing journey but, for those who appreciate horror, it is well worth taking.

"The Little Mermaid," with a running length that exceeds that of its predecessor by 52 minutes, explores areas not touched on by the animated version.

"Living" is not quite as good as "Ikiru" (of which it is a remake), but it is a damn good re-interpretation.

Unlike some adaptations of classic novels, this one does not feel like a chore to sit through: an impressively mounted production that is emotionally true to the characters and their era.
