RANGO?
RED RIDING HOOD
BATTLE: LOS ANGELES

James has alluded to maybe reviewing Rango. Assuming he does so before Monday, it will act as a bonus point. If he does it after Monday, it will count as part of the contest. If he doesn't review it, then well, it's a two film week.

Rango: 3
Red Riding Hood: 3
(If Gary Oldman is allowed to chew on the scenery enough, this could end up on the high end of the guilty pleasure end of the spectrum)
Battle: Los Angeles: 2
(Other than the presence of a good actor in a lead role, why are people guessing so high on this one? It looks like a rip off of Independence Day crossed with Skyline and that's a place no movie really wants to be)

Looks like everyone underrated Rango. Oh well.

I'm tempted to toss it from the contest, but no. For the people who haven't voted yet: it will be a two film week for you. To everyone else: ...sorry. :x

EDIT: After seeing the trailer again and starting to notice some jerky camera, I realized that probably won't sit well will James and lower my guess a bit.

This is me being altruistic since it will potentially help others but not me:

Pedro, since Mr. Berardinelli reviewed Rango before Monday, doesn't that mean it counts as a bonus point (and not as part of the contest)? Meaning, as I understand it, that one can earn a point for getting it right but there's no harm in guessing incorrectly. So this then becomes a two-film week for everybody, with no one at risk for losing a full point.

No, you're right. I guess I was just tired after work. The first day's a hard one over hear at Great America, especially as a supervisor. :|

Red Riding Hood: 3 stars
Battle: Los Angeles: 2 stars

Out of curiosity, where did Mr. Berardinelli say he might review Take Me Home Tonight? I thought I kept up with his various sources of information (Twitter, this forum), but I don't recall reading him mention Take Me Home Tonight anywhere.

Oh he didn't say it on the forum, I sent him a PM asking about the film, and he said that he wouldn't review it if he felt it was only a ** or **1/2 star film, and since he hasn't posted a review yet, i'm guessing he didn't think that much of it.

Red Riding Hood **1/2 It does feature Amanda Seyfried but it probably won't be able to escape the Twilight vibe especially since it was directed by the woman who helmed the first installment

Battle: Los Angeles ** Well, the good news is it can't be as bad as Skyline but as the man often likes to put it in some of his less laudatory reviews, that will probably be "damning with faint praise"
