Relistening to the album again back to back with Emancipator's Soon it Will be Cold Enough so I can do a review for the school news. Both albums are great winter themed music, even though they're COMPLETELY different genres.

The sounds of silence linger but earlier I was rocking the turntable with Black Flag and Negative Approach. I'm fairly certain the guy below me wasn't happy (if he was even home). No complaints, though. Just a guess.

Anyone on here know of "Great White"? I always they were a highly underappreciated blues-rock band, they definitely have a strong Led Zep influence, but they don't sound at all like copycats(good thing too, since i'm honestly not really into Zep) This is one of my faovrite tunes from them http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=brcZzq4QC6M

"In memory" of? You only say that kind of shit when a band has broken up or something. Wait...*checks google*...what the fuck?

That fucking blows. Easily my favorite band in the last...I don't know, good amount of time. I submit their excellent Denial Twist video, directed by Michael Gondry: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DodG8IcnOZk

Lame! The news, not the video. Has anyone seen them live? Ah... it's past-tense now. They were fantastic, played one of the best impromptu/loose/energetic sets I've seen.

The first three Danzig albums. Always good to dust these off.
It's interesting to listen to their style evolve. The first record is so stripped down and basic, which has a lot of power in its own way. By the time Danzig III rolls around, it all gets a lot heavier guitar-wise and maybe even a little complex.

Ah yes, Danzig, personally I always thought "Luciferi" and "blackaciddevil" were pretty underrated albums.

Joe Satriani's album Super Colossal.
How have I not checked this guy out a year or so ago?

I'm listening to the Black Swan soundtrack. No idea how much is Tchaikovsky and how much is Clint Mansell, but I really like it. Mansell needs more work. This isn't as good as his glorious soundtrack for The Fountain (what is?) but it's certainly worth a listen.

Beethoven's Seventh Symphony, ever since watching The King's Speech and seeing the trailer for Of Gods and Men.

I don't get why they're releasing only the Deluxe and Digital editions now though. I still like to buy albums on CD, even though I usually rip the songs immediately and never touch the disc again. Guess I'll have to wait a few months before I can buy it. The only question is what I'll do in the meantime. To temporarily infringe on copyright or not to temporarily infringe on copyright?

This is exciting! Terrible album title, though. I've been replaying Kid A and now believe that it's their best album. I'll change my mind in a short while.

There's a video for Lotus Flower on youtube. I looked at it once and was so distracted that I can't really tell if the song was any good. Thom Yorke, that was...interesting.
