Two hours of 24 next week will be amazing!

The writers said that the first eight episodes are not as good as the last 16 because they got the time to map out the series during the writers' strike. If these past two episodes are any indication, this could possibly be the best season of 24 yet! (I liked 1, 4, and 5 the most, 2 was good too)

Freckles are getting annoying. I really liked her but now her character's become annoying again. C'mon, Jack saved her life and she tortured two people, and also knew what was going to happen (the plane crashes) if she didn't! Make her more into female Jack and less into female Larry Moss (although he had a badass moment where he was roughing up Sean)

Tony's reveal was terrible. They should have resolved it and ended the episode then, lulling the viewer into false hope and then spring us the surprise next season. Or am I alone in that sentiment? I just think that the ending was severely anticlimatic.

Anytime I can get more than one episode of 24 a night I'm a happy man too.

The first pre-strike 8 were pretty good IMO but the last 4 in a row from episode 7 thru 10 have been just beyond awesome. I agree, if this keeps up this could be one of the best seasons ever. Season 5 is still my #1 favorite season but this could tie it for sure with whats happened already, and it's not done yet. I also loved Season's 1, 3 and 4. Season 2 was decent, but the stuff after the nuke was taken care of didn't grab me, and like just about everyone else Season 6 was a major dissapointment for me. Season 7 has been awesome so far and its more than made up for it.

Everyone else is more than welcome to chime in and name which seasons they liked the most and which ones the least.

I still love Renee, I didn't find her annoying, I understood where she was coming from last night, but she doesn't fully understand Jack yet and why he is the way he is. I think she's going to toughen up some more starting next week, esp when the attack on the White House goes down.

I don't find her annoying, I find the way she is written to be annoying. It is inane to think that a FBI agent who has served as long as her to be all emotional. Shouldn't she see the bigger picture? I liked her at the beginning and still like her, I just don't like where the writers have written her.

Post Re: 24 (SPOILERS WELCOME)
I think the whole season has been very good so far. Tony Almeida's return was a little on the corny side, but new characters like Agent Renee Walker and President Allison Taylor have been very welcome changes. I thought "Redemption" was a little bit of a disappointment considering the hiatus, but I think the season overall has been a vast improvement especially over the previous season.

I'm still waiting for input by the mastermind of this place!

Finally I didn't miss an episode. But it seemed to be heading into Die Hard in the White House territory with Aaron Pierce as John McClane and then they dropped the ball....what a waste even though Agent Walker looks even hotter wet

Aaron Pierce going badass through the White House would have been amazing.
President Taylor going Harrison-Ford-in-Air-Force-One would have been amazing.
I felt the current resolution to be too full of cliffhangers. But then again, that's 24, right?

Janis-Chloe catfight! :D
Renee goes jumping!
What is Jon Voight? :?
And... KIM IS COMING BACK!!!!! but she's not fighting a cougar....

Easily the best season yet... and I loved seasons 2 and 5, too!

I was hoping Aaron would be able to rescue Jack and the President, but I was like oh **** when he and Olivia got
caught trying to signal the outside.

And yeah, Renee did look hot even dripping wet. loved how she used that shovel on Dubaku Jr.

It was indeed 2 awesome hours, I was on the edge of my seat the whole damn night, and one hell of a cliffhanger for next week.

- I love Renee, but damn she should have waited for backup instead of stowing away on the boat. Thankfully Larry and the FBI squad arrived in time to save her from Dubaku Jr. Although to be fair, jumping on the boat is what Jack would have done if it had been him.

- Yeah, their def building toward something between Jack and Renee, they were both worried about each other during tonights ep, when Jack found out Renee was missing and when Renee found out Jack was in the White House.
Howard Gordon told TV Guide that they lay the groundwork for a Jack/Renee romance the rest of the season, and confirmed she will be back next season which made me happy.

- I loved that even thought she was mad at Jack for interrogating Burnett behind her back, The President believed Jack and tried to find out what the next attack was.

- Well, looks like Chole is going to be detained for awhile, which allows her to go offscreen (the actress was pregnant and took time off for a few eps to have the baby) That means Morris must be coming back soon to take her place.

- Man, the attack and infiltration of the White House was intense stuff.

- Loved that Aaron Pierce did everything he could to keep Olivia safe, sucks they got captured.

- The conversations between Jack and the President while they were in the safe room was good stuff, esp when she asked if it was his daughter Kim, that he would just stand by and let her be killed.

- Hmm, wonder what the package Juma is giving Hodges? It must be something major for him to help him attack the President in the freaking White House. That's going to be a plot point once the President is rescued next week.

- I thought for sure that either Bill or Aaron were going to die tonight, I was sooo relieved when Juma didnt blow Bill away. I'd hate to see either one of them die.

- That Sen. Mayer was a jackass, esp when he gave Jack s*** for letting the President come out of the locked room to save her daughter. Lets see how you feel when Jack saves your sorry ass next week.

- I bet some people were prob angry Taylor and Jack came out when Juma threated to kill Olivia, but I was expecting
that. She wasn't going to let her daughter die, esp after they already killed her son and nearly her husband.

This season is kicking ass, I hate having to wait till next week. The preview was super intense, esp when Juma executes that office worker to get the President to cooperate.

Post Re: 24 (SPOILERS WELCOME)
I was afraid that 24 couldn't pull off the ridiculous situation of an attack on the White House, and even though it wasn't done entirely credible, I still loved it. 24 has become crack again.

The only real beef I had was that there were was no military deployed. The attack itself was helped by Jon Voight's character, so it made sense that it was so easy since Voight appeared to either be on the inside or had lots of power. Also, Tony was just chillin outside in his car. Come on writers, you brought him back!

There have been some compelling exchanges:

Jack to Senator: "You are weak, sir."
Jack to Bill about torturing Burnett.
President to Jack about his daughter.
Jack to Tony about leaving Bill out of it.
President's daughter to Aaron about no chance of staying behind.
Renee worried about Jack, and Moss going all "he's not the goal."

And the 24 writers, realizing Jack is invincible, have used Bill and Aaron as devices of tension. Might I add, effectively well. It reminded me of The Matrix, when you know Neo can't die but Morpheus and Trinity can.

Next week looks incredible. The previews had my friend and I screaming because it appears one of the main cast will die.

Kim coming back? Dear God I hope that's a bad rumor... :(

After a lame Season 6, 24 is back to KICKASS. Okay, the "subterranean access" to the White House was a little, uh, UNREALISTIC (nice to see Juma's team cover 2 miles in ten min. underground, but oh well)...but who cares? The last few episodes have been among 24's best. Hell, I even like the whole "torture vs. don't torture" debate, as it kinda fucks with the mind of a liberal like me (The U.S. Government must not torture...unless Jack is doing it...he's fictional, it's okay...but oh this is so wrong...).

Is it just me, though, or do 24 presidents pick the DUMBEST V-Ps? Sounds like she needed some Southern electoral votes...

Eh, they'll kill her off next week...at least I'm hoping it's her and not Krypton Bill or Aaron.

They can't kill Aaron, he's the pebble in the series. Without him there will be no 24 Secret Service

My prediction: the makers of the show are screwing with us through the trailer for next week's episode. No one in the main cast will die, but some secondary hostages will. If anyone of the main characters dies, my money's on the senator. But I don't think that will happen. I really thought that either Bill or Aaron (or possibly both) were going to get it this time. Fortunately that didn't happen.

I've only recently become a fan of the show. I started watching it during season 5. But I think this is the best season so far, definitely making up for the very mediocre season 6.

Yeah, VP's on 24 tend to either be trecherous or spineless, except for Gardner in Season 5 he was pretty decent. VP Hansen doesn't seem to have a spine, not letting Renee and Larry storm the White House. From the preview it looks like he keeps stalling so Larry and Renee say screw this, were going in anyway, to which I say hell yes!

I kept thinking either Bill or Aaron was going to die last night, and I have a really bad feeling that Bill is going to die next week. In the preview it shows someone setting off an explosion that takes out some of Juma's men and it looks like it's Bill, and the fact the preview also shows Jack sitting on the floor, with his hand over his mouth and very sad makes me think someone is going to die.

I'd hate to see Bill die, ditto for Aaron, but if Bill is going to die it better be a heroic death, sacrificing himself so Jack and Co. can save President Taylor.

If they do end up killing off either Bill or Aaron, it damn well better be a heroic death. I always hated how they dispatched Curtis Manning. His character deserved better.

Kim IS coming back, she's filmed I think 5 episodes and will return near the end of the season. (Thank GOD it's not Audrey Raines)

I don't want Aaron to die. I think that that would be a GREAT disservice to the fans as he is the only one besides Jack Bauer to have been in every season of 24. He'll stay alive.

I wouldn't mind Bill going. I'd be really upset, but if they do a heroic death I'd be satisfied. I'd like for Karen Hayes and Tom Lennox to return, and I really, really want to find out what's happened with the Logans.

It will be hard to top the animalism (is that even a word?) of C. Thomas Howell, but if anyone can it's his The Outsiders co-star Leif Garrett.

I just have two thoughts...and none of them are about Renee.

1. The VP is an even bigger wuss than Logan was before he became a terrorist.
2. Nerve agent...Bauer's finally has a non-Kim weakness.
