Seahawks
Jets
Chiefs
Eagles

See, because of the time difference, I don't know how the first two games turned out yet. I hope I'm not going out on too much of a limb by picking the Seahawks...

Eeek! I was doing dismally (0-3) until the home team (Green Bay) pulled it out.

I think Pig Nash wins the prize on this round.

Woo? I win my team being out of the playoffs, yay!

I'm going to go with all of the home teams this weekend. Sure...that's playing it safe...but we can't have a boatload of upsets 2 weeks in a row...can we?

Steelers over Ravens
Patriots over Jets
Falcons over Packers (boo Falcons!)
Bears over the Seahawks (the dream ends)

(A couple of the DJ's on a morning radio show highlighted that there is a path to a Super Bowl win for the Packers whereby they'd defeat all "bird" teams in the playoffs [Eagles, Falcons, Seahawks and Ravens]) Wouldn't that be interesting? No...not really...but it would be a good trivia answer.

I'll take all the home teams as well.

Steelers, Pats, Falcons, Bears

I think the Packers have a shot at beating Atlanta and the Ravens could beat Pitt, but the other 2 I'm confident about.

Who would have thought the only home team to win last week would be the Seahawks? Nutty.

The Seahawks are arguably the least impressive playoff team in over a decade. TheSaints should be embarrassed. That being said, they can beat the Bears. Who can't beat the Bears? If Chicago eventually faces the Pack, they are going to get unceremoniously slaughtered.

Not so sure about that. Bears beat the Pack at home early in the season and then Pack beat the Bears at home in final game of reg. season. Should they meet again, the Pack will be going into the Bear's den. Chicago, while not overly impressive on paper, did come on strong in the latter half of the season, final game against the Packers notwithstanding. It should be a good game (if it happens). My heart says Pack...my head not so sure.

I agree johnny. The Bears defense is so good that I have a tough time imagining them getting blow out. In addition to that, the Pack were 3-5 on the road this season, and we're really supposed to believe they're going to win 3 straight road games to go to the Super Bowl? I don't buy it. Sure, the Giants won 3 straight on the road a few years back, but they were also a great road team that season. The Pack aren't. I'm still rooting for them to make it, even though they took out my Eagles, only because Aaron Rodgers can sling the pigskin like no other...except Tom Brady.

The real question about the Bears is how will Cutler respond. The guy's never been a model of consistency. Added to that is the fact that he hasn't played in a game as big as the one he'll be playing in Sunday since, well, since ever. It's his first NFL playoff game and he went to Vanderbilt, which is hardly a college powerhouse. There's no telling which Jay Cutler will show up Sunday, or in any following game.

Which is exactly why they're doomed. I plan on seeing the same Aaron Rodgers week in and week out, since he usually maintains a certain level of quality. Cutler is not only untested, but one of the most overrated QB's of the past half decade. He wasn't deserving of the publicity he garnered through the Denver-Chicago transition, and he isn't deserving of special playoff attention until he earns it. And if he doesn't, the Bears are squashed.

I wouldn't say they're doomed, but he's definitley unproven. Either way, he can play bad and their defense and special teams are good enough to carry the team some weeks. That's why, even if he plays poorly, I don't see the Bears getting blown out, or unceremoniously slaughtered, as you put it.

I'm no Cutler fan, that's for sure, but let's not forget that Aaron Rodgers has won exactly one more playoff game than Cutler. Rodgers is also 2-13 in games decided by 4 points or less. He's on his way to becoming a great QB, I believe that. He's also still relatively green in the playoffs.

All that said, I'm a big Aaron Rodgers fan and would probably pick Green Bay to beat Chicago should they meet in the NFC title game.

When the Bears play the (hated) Packers, you can forget all predictions and betting lines.

That said, I just hope Jay Cutler shows up, not Jay Fucking Cutler.

Well, you can bet that Fox (and if you're a conspiracy theorist, "the NFL") would LOVE to see a Packers-Bears battle for the NFC championship next week. One of the oldest rivalrys in the league that haven't met in the playoffs since 1941? The storyline writes itself!

Lets see if the refs help them out. :)

Everyone is in SO much love over the Packers-Bears game. Need I remind everyone, that the games have to be played and Atlanta won't roll over just to let that happen. I'm not mad at Packers fans for picking their team, but I'm not happy at the fact that everyone is s**ting over Atlanta because of one game where rookiehad a very good game agianst a run defense that's average at best. I know that Atlanta will take care of that and will develop a pass rush against Rodgers.

28-21 Falcons.

Hey man, I'm with you. I think Atlanta wins. The Packers are a poor road team and they're playing one of the best home teams in the league. Matt Ryan has lost, what, 2 home games in his entire career? Atlanta is too balanced for Green Bay. Falcons take it.

I was not discrediting Atlanta, just giving a for-example of why I think the Bears are inept using Green Bay as point 'B'. Atlanta is still the team to beat in the NFC until proven otherwise. And, for whatever reason, I think a Seahawks-Falcons game would be extremely satisfying.

My God, you're right.

More or less, I'm trying to figure out if ANY NFC team has a shot at beating the Patriots (assuming they are at the same level they departed the regular season on). The only chance I see is if Atlanta is as good in the post-season as they were during the regular season. Otherwise, it might be a joke of a Super Bowl.

The JETS are going all the way baby!!!

Hardly anybody picked them to beat the Colts, and nobody thinks they're going to be able to beat the Pats. The J-E-T-S JETS JETS JETS, however, are long overdue for a gift miracle Superbowl run from the Football Gods. Moreover, the NFL hath no fury like a Jets team scorned, and no team has scorned the Jets worse than the hated Pats. We play better with a chip on our shoulder, and I think everyone doubting us is going to be to our advantage. In fact, I'd even go so far as to say that I'm glad the Pats beat us so bad last time we faced each other (a disastrous 45-3 loss that I had the fortune of missing), because I think it'll have our guys fired up and even more ready to go. Come Sunday, I predict a huge upset. Need I remind people that one of the Pats' only two losses this season came against the Jets?

Anyone else slightly tickled at the "what-if" scenario of a Jets-Seahawks Superbowl? :D

Well, I want to join the pickins'. These are my predictions for the weekend:

- Baltimore over Pittsburg

- Atlanta over Green Bay

- Jets over Patriots

- Seahawks over Chicago (I'm a sucker for underdogs)

You're 0/4 so far. Let's hope you at least get this one right. I'd like to see the Jets win. As unlikely as I've heard that is.
