If someone showed me that picture of Katy Perry without telling me who it is, I would swear up and down it was Ms. Deschanel.

She (Zooey) has a deeper voice, though.

I love watching Zooey Deschanel in anything, even crap like The Happening and Tin Man. When the movies or even her performance are bad I just gaze dreamily at her and it's all good.... :)

She is a piece of very nice totty. Pretty eyes as well. Eyes are the big giveaway I find, so in total agreement with James on that.

I used to think Lindsay Lohan was quite cute but no I look at her and think 'Not exactly second hand...'

And is a way better singer.

That's Zooey singing "I Put a Spell On You" with M.Ward. And they've got a nice album as "She & Him".

I'm guessing it must be weird to read a forum where people speculate about your repressed and unfulfilled love towards an actress. Then come up with bizarre scenarios, and play God (or studio exec.) with your life...

Yup, must be weird...

This is really odd. Everyone on the whole forum is obsessed with Zooey Deschanel.
Curious indeed :-)

It's just a sign that we're all healthy people.

Right, James? [wink-wink]

And to think, Sam Rockwell got to smack her arse in Hitchhikers? Or was that a stand-in? I wouldn't mind shaking that hand....

"Hey Trin, are you wearin' my underwear? Cuz I'm wearin' yours...and they ain't doin the trick, hey come on...."

It is no news that Zooey Deschanel is a splendid actress and a great beauty, but this is her first movie after which two of my fellow critics proposed marriage to the screen. And I thought they only sat in the front row to better appreciate the film stock.

I wonder if James B. was in the audience...

She's already too successful for her own good, the Zooey backlash has already started:

http://community.livejournal.com/ohnotheydidnt/32688252.html

Basically she's now getting a lot of flak for always "playing a kooky quirky zany yet insecure dream pixie who needs validation from men".

I have seen her play other types of characters (for example in Winter Passing) but she does seem to have the "kooky quirky zany" market cornered! :)
