I didn't think much about the new Fox comedy series Running Wilde until I saw David Cross on the Bill Maher show over the weekend and he had mentioned that this show was reuniting him with Mitch Hurwitz (the mind behind Arrested Development) and Will Arnett.
I've only seen one episode so far but I was a bit let down. Arrested Development this ain't, though it is trying with some of the same formulas (V.O. narration, absurd characters and humor, etc.) Not sure if I'm going to stick with it. Anyone else have a different take on this?

Re: Running Wilde - An Arrested Disappointment?
I've watched the first two and have the third on DVR for later. So far...not so great. Those involved seem to be elevating the material itself here and I'm really hoping it gets better fast.

Re: Running Wilde - An Arrested Disappointment?
I never liked Arrested Development and this show looks an even worse version of it, so i'll definitely be staying away from it, sad truth is that most of FOX's live-action series over the past few years have been mediocre at best.

That's enough out of you, David Cross. Enough.
That said, I like David Cross in the right role (Tobias) but won't be checking out Running Wilde before its inevitable cancellation.
