 Week #27: StuffTHE TOWN
EASY A DEVIL We have three very different movies this week. One's a crime thriller directed Ben Affleck, one's a new interpretation of The Scarlet Letter, and one's a Shyamalan produced maybe-horror film. I'm personally looking forward to The Town, but Easy A looks servicable and Devil looks shitty. Standard rules apply for this one. Re: Week #27: Stuff The Town *** The next step in Ben Affleck's career as a director; while this looks pretty good, I highly doubt that this will reach the level of his debut, Gone Baby Gone
Easy A *** Since it's based on The Scarlett Letter and has been getting solid reviews, it should do just as well with James; certainly it won't be as bad as the mid-90's adaptation with Demi Moore! Devil *1/2 Nearly everyone would agree that M. Night Shyalaman's involvement in any film is usually a harbinger of doom, especially when one considers his recent output!
