Hello, all. As most of you know, James has been reviewing Best Picture winners from back in the day. I've officially decided to segment them off from the normal competition. IT SHOULD BE NOTED: I have no idea when these reviews will be posted, but I think it's a safe assumption that at two reviews per months, he'll be able to get through these during the course of the rest of the year. If not, things will be altered accordingly. The movies are:

1957: Around the World in Eighty Days
1956: Marty
1954: From Here to Eternity
1953: The Greatest Show on Earth
1952: An American in Paris
1950: All the King's Men
1949: Hamlet

That's seven. Here's how the scoring breakdown is going to work:

7 correct: 5 points
6 correct: 3 points
5 correct: 2 points
4 correct: 1.5 points
3 correct: 1 point
2 correct: 0.5 points
1 correct: 0 points
0 correct: -1 point

As you can hopefully see, I'm trying to spice up the competition a little bit. Yes, you read that right: if you fail at guessing any one of these correct, you will lose a point on your overall record. If you're a fucking magician and can guess all of them, you get a bonus of FIVE points. Ehhh, I don't want to consider this a bonus round; more of a side competition. Call it what you will, the stakes have been raised and I hope it's fun because of it.

Guesses of the above nature can be made up until James posts the fourth review. After that, it'll become like a normal competition, where guessing the remaining three nets a point and so on.

Thanks, ShrunkenHead! I was trying to throw everyone for a loop by listing the movies in reverse order (or, in other words, the order they would most likely be reviewed in.)

And: Woo hoo! I won't lose a point! And believe me, with the number of movies I predicted Mr. Berardinelli would give four stars to, I thought that was a distinct possibility.
