 Week #24
So after the collective failure of last week, I hope next week will be an improvement for all of us.
CENTURION (Aug 24) THE LAST EXORCISM (Aug 26) GOING MY WAY (next week)
Like usual, votes will be accepted until the first review is posted.

 Re: Week #24
uh, I'm pretty sure Pedro means the best picture winner of 1944, Going My Way, not the Drew Barrymore film. But I'd be surprised if it was posted next week, Lost Weekend was posted almost 2 months after it was supposed to be posted.

 Re: Week #24
I messaged James and it should show up next week. If the wait time becomes ridiculous, I'll take action.

 Re: Week #24
Centurion: *** (wishful thinking perhaps, but I still have a hard-on for Neil Marshall after The Descent.) The Last Exorcism: ** Going My Way: **1/2

CENTURION - 2 THE LAST EXORCISM - 2 GOING MY WAY - 3
Centurion hasn't been getting too high of marks across the way. The Last Exorcism is one of those "found footage" movies...plus it's produced by Eli Roth. Going My Way...I really have no clue. I'm between a 3 and a 3.5 on that one.
Good luck everyone...

 Re: Week #24
Yes, it's the 1944 BP winner, not GOING THE DISTANCE, which is the Drew Barrymore film. The review for GOING THE DISTANCE will show up on or around September 1. I'm reasonably certain that GOING MY WAY will be posted next week (meaning between August 22 and August 28). My schedule has normalized (note that ReelThoughts and Video Reviews are starting to appear with greater regularity). I expect to watch the film twice over the weekend then write and edit the review shortly thereafter. Actually, Michael is taking less time away from writing that the Phillies are.

 Re: Week #24
Alright, on second thought, let me give this a try 4 real:
Centurion- ** Looks like another misfire from the once promising Neil Marshall Last Exorcism- ** A PG-13 horror flick; James just loves those so much. Going My Way-*** James will probably give this one a decent rating but the supposed surfeit of sentimentality may dull some of that enthusiasm

 Re: Week #24
are you on track to finish all the Best Pictures by March(that was the goal, right?) disappointed there's not gonna be a Piranha 3D review.

 Re: Week #24
Well considering that Piranha isn't being screened for critics, that's not the least bit surprising. It does definitely look like a fun movie though.
