As for 2D vs 3D, my cinema only has one screen for 3D, which will still be showing How to Train Your Dragon. So for this coming week, Clash will only be available in 2D.

It appears there may be something of a 3D crunch this weekend, with ALICE IN WONDERLAND, HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON, and CLASH OF THE TITANS all vying for the limited number of 3D screens (not to mention AVATAR, which is still out there). Hopefully, that will mean it will be easier to find a 2D copy of CLASH than it was to find a 2D copy of ALICE a few weeks ago.

Movie #1 - CLASH OF THE TITANS - 2.5 stars
Movie #2 - VINCERE - 3.0 stars

Everybody who survived CLASH stays alive.

Now we'll see how kind EMILE ZOLA is to everyone. Big payoff if it's 3 stars. No winners if it's something else.

(Just out of curiosity, how many of the prospective winners have seen THE LIFE OF EMILE ZOLA?)

Not I. Rebecca is the earliest BP winner I've seen.

Truthfully? No. Never. :shame:

Neither have I and I freaking OWN it!

There are two classic movies that I own that I keep putting off on watching and it's mostly because of how long they are. Both Gone With the Wind and Lawrence of Arabia are nearly 4 hours long. That's a hell of a long time!

Non-watchers unite! I own Lawrence as well, picked it up last October and each time I walk by it think "Neh. Maybe next month." This will continue for at least 5 more years. 4 hours just seems too long for either one of those movies, even over 2 nights. Funny as I don't feel the same way about 5 hour Swedish films. It's limited to Lawrence, Gone/Wind and Stroheim's Greed. It'll be years before i see any of 'em.

Damn guys. Both of those are fine films. Your loss I guess. Don't want to go too far offtopic, but the pre-Rebecca winners Mutiny on the Bounty (1935) and Sunrise (1927) are well worth a look.

No winners.

I think part of the underrating of EMILE ZOLA is because few (if any) of the contestants have seen it. Granted, seeing a movie doesn't necessarily equate to knowing what I'm going to think of it, but it at least puts a stake in the ground.

Hah, now's the time for me to get pissed off, 'cause had I not lowered Clash, I would have won the second week in a row! :(
