It's another self-explanatory poll...do it.

EDIT: Assume all the band members are alive.

For me, I'm not a purist about band line-ups since it's usually the singer and the guitarist that's usually the brainchild so if the drummer and bassist doesn't come back I'm fine. Unless they were super awesome that them not coming back would de-rail the band then it's only valid if everyone comes back.

Voted "main forces," since the original lineup sometimes isn't the quintessential lineup (Metallica, AC/DC, Rush, etc.). Sometimes, it's enough to keep maybe the couple of most influential members. Others, every member is such a vital part of the group that the loss of just one means it's over. Think Led Zeppelin and Queen, though both have gamely tried to continue on.

I agree with main forces.

I'd say a single person is enough if they were the main creative force of the band. Think Chuck and Death or maybe even Billy Corgan and the Pumpkins.

So my vote is for single main force. Which doesn't exist. I guess "Main Forces" is the closest, but Some Guy looked so sad with no votes.

Once the band has broken up the first time, it's done. Everything is lost. It just becomes a money machine for members involved and not what the band was originally about. The one *exemption to this is Rage Against the Machine. They reunite for concerts and protests but refuse to put out any new music. Some say they are more socially important now than when they were actually an "active band."

*Sorry ed I was in a hurry, thanks for keeping me in check.

I never got the appeal of eating fish eggs. Slightly more ontopic, this might interest Rage fans:
