How does that make sense?
Up in the Air has the most individual nominations, but not a best ensemble nom?

Yikes, Sandra Bullock really is going to get an Oscar nom, isn't she?

I love the Best Actor nods. I'm pulling for that to be Oscar's five.

I'm happily surprised about Krueger, and no, the absence of Up in the Air for ensemble doesn't make any sense.

I couldn't possibly be pulling harder for Jeff Bridges to win the Oscar though.

If they were going to nominate somebody from IB in the best supporting actress category, it should have been Melanie Laurent instead of Kruger.

I think the Weinsteins, in their infinite wisdom, actually promoted her to Best Actress. I remember there was an article about it at In Contention. This was before Sandra Bullock became a legitimate threat to the category.

Streep will be nominated for Julie and Julia.

Nine will be a disapointment this year.

Mulligan should win for Best Actress, but Gabby will win.

Up in the Air and Precious are the two frontrunners to beat for Best Picture.

Look, I love QT's IB. So far, it's my favourite film of the year. But Diane Kruger? This woman is by far the worst thing about that picture. Ms. Kruger and the word "Best" should never ever appear in the same sentence.
