In about a month when it starts showing up at the black market vendors.....er.....I mena the bazaars we are allowed to go to on the weekends. Sure the quality will be utter shit and the subtitles (if they even bother with those) will be written by someone who has no concept of the English language, but there it'll be.

In about 9 hours at the first screening possible.

I've cleaned out my diary a week in advance. No routine inspections, maintenance calls or anything in regards to landlords or tenants. If a hot water system bursts the tenants can call the emergency numbers.

For three hours I'm escaping to a new land.

I'm not convinced that this is the "must-see" film the critics are making it out to be, so i'll beperfectly content to wait for the DVD release, and I don't care how "mind-blowing" the 3-D is, it's not going to be enough to lure me into a theater to see it.

I have tickets to the midnight show at the Dublin IMAX theater, so I'd say that's pretty much as soon as it opens.

I posted some stuff in various threads, but basically it's the most visually impressive film I've ever seen. The plot is somewhat ordinary though and I'm not sure that I would have enjoyed it as much if I had seen it in 2D or on DVD.

Just watched this in 3D and it was AMAZING!!
Best movie I've seen in the last few years and it has the most incredible CG to date.
Can't wait for the Blu-ray to be released.

I'm trying to see it in IMAX 3D in Shanghai since it opened on January 4 in China.
Problem is the theater only sells tickets 3 days in advance and only at the theater,
not online, not anywhere else. And unless you're willing to go stand in line at 7am
behind 300 other people, that means plain bad luck.

Then suddenly they changed their policy and sold tickets for the rest of January.
They started on 1/9 and sold out the rest of the month January within half a day.
This was unannounced and needless to say I wasn't around that day. Also, since
they saw it did really well, they decided to increase the price by 100% overnight.

Recently they started selling tickets again for February however I haven't been
there yet. So, I'm still hoping to see it any month now... :)

Yikes! The movie is slowing down in the US but shows no signs of stopping internationally. It may be quite a while before its final gross is surpassed.

You know what I'm going to do right now? Look at some porn. So how about that?

That's just a roundabout way of saying that myself, Vexer, rammykins, and Patrick are the only people left on earth who haven't seen Avatar. You know what else we have in common? We've all nailed Lindsay Lohan.

Sweet! What do you make of the whole originally shot in 3D versus the converted to 3D debate? Is there a noticeable difference? Do ya think majoraphasia should convert his reported dalliance with Lindsay Lohan into 3D?
