So, You Think You Know James? (Week 25) **Read First Post!**
Inglorious Paraplegics?August 18: INGLORIOUS BASTERDS August 20: POST GRAD August 22: BORN ON THE FOURTH OF JULY (1989) This week we have an obvious choice, a slightly less obvious choice, and a complete wild card. Which is which is your decision. For the classic, we have Oliver Stone's much-lauded Vietnam war epic 'Born On The Fourth Of July' joining Quentin Tarantino's WWII epic, 'Inglorious Basterds', and the Fox Searchlight-approved post-college comedy 'Post Grad'. It's very likely that we will have a few winners this week, which makes me very sad, but at least we get a treasured rarity this week for The Big Man(!). Perhaps this is also the week that Rob breaks his shackles, throws off his chains, etc. and wins. I'm rooting for you, sir!P.S. - One film this week has been revealed before the contest has started on two different websites. Consequently, if you get this film wrong, you will be disallowed from participating in future competitions for a time ranging from now to the rest of your life.

Wow Phil, you're a dick. Ha, ha, ha!! Anywho, on with my predictions: Inglorious Basterds: **** No explanation necessary here! Post Grad: **1/2 Looks likes one of those films that are so generic that James can't muster any strong feelings one way or the other about them. Born on the Fourth of July: *** Oliver Stone is pretty hit-and-miss with James but if he's stated before that he likes this film so I should be safe here

Re: So, You Think You Know James? (Week 25) **Read First Post!**
Finally, kind words from you, oops-olay. However, sorry to disappoint, but I was actually NOT the first person to consider this. James was. Though, in all fairness, he was probably joking. And just to negate the last two sentences and waste your time, it probably didn't matter. I'd do it anyways P.S. - It MIGHT just be in effect for the remainder of this calendar year (I mean, seriously, it is August and we've been doing this for one week short of half a year). Nevertheless, if you wish to test me, just remember that I banned over a dozen people from posting on my last forum (this was because they were all terrible, awful predatory/annoying posters, though, so I'm not sure how bad I should feel). Come to think of it, this is a great forum. Next to no banning necessary (sorry, aameen).

Does anyone else think the girl from Post Grad looks a bit like Zooey Deschanel? Even just a little bit?

Nope, but Alexis Bledel and Zooey are comparable in hotness.

Sorry, Patrick, but Alexis is nowhere near as hot as Zooey. Now, my predictions: Inglorious Basterds: **** Post Grad: ** 1/2 Born on the Fourth of July: *** 1/2

That last one might be wishful thinking but I think it's one of Oliver Stone's best movies and a near masterpiece! A GREAT, GREAT movie IMO!

Re: So, You Think You Know James? (Week 25) **Read First Post!**
Inglorious Basterds- 2 stars (you know, I just think this won't isn't going to do it for Mr. Berardinelli. I can't see him giving four stars to another Tarantino movie ever again, and I can't imagine why everybody's just throwing this number out like crazy. You all are gonna lose this week, I mean, four stars? Come on!)
JUST KIDDING! (seriously, Evenflow, don't count that, here's my real list):
Inglorious Basterds: 4 stars Post Grad: 2.5 stars Born on the Fourth of July: 3 stars

Inglourious Basterds - 4.0 (folks, you're all spelling Inglourious wrong...er...that is, you're spelling it right, but Tarantino spelled it with two 'u's.) Post Grad - 2.0 Born On The Fourth of July - 3.5
EDIT: Apologies, most of you did correctly spell it wrongly.
