I watched every episode of mad men last summer; it is so addicting to watch you'll want to come back for more...great show! a year now I
I want to see that closeted gay guy find love! Jon Hamm is SMOKING hot! I have to put my panties in the dryer. Oh my god! He should have been People Magazine's sexiest man alive NOT that warewolf Hugh Jackman

I am really enjoying the show, however there's not enough advertising stuff in it. There's too much office drama and family drama in it - I can get that from any of a million shows. I was hoping it'd be a lot more like the West Wing - 90% politics (or in this case advertising), 10% family and office drama. That said, it's great.

By far the best TV show on the air right now (and the only one that I make a point to watch first run, instead of just waiting for the DVD/Blu-Rays).

Season 3 starts in August. 'Tis a long wait...

I just started to watch this show on sidereel.com. So far, I'm impressed. And yeah, John Hamm is a great main character. I just wish there was more advertising stuff. So far, the home life stuff bores me. And I don't like his wife or the actress.

I also give AMC props for the limited swearing. Just makes the show that much better.

Is anyone else excited for the premiere of Season 3 this Sunday? I've never watched the show on TV -- I watched Season 1 on DVD and Season 2 on iTunes (couldn't wait for the DVD on that one, plus I had a gift card!). I'm so obsessed with the show that I bought Season 2 on DVD and have rewatched it all with commentaries (the ones from Matt Weiner, anyway). I'm now in the process of rewatching Season 1. I just can't get enough Mad Men.

I understand people wanting more of the office and less of home life, but I love seeing both sides of these peoples' lives. The contrast for Don Draper is especially striking, and as a major arc of his story is his figuring out how to reconcile these disparate parts of his life and be happy and comfortable in both, I feel that the home scenes are just as important as the ones at Sterling-Coop. It's amazing how much I sympathize with this lying, cheating, manipulating, self-absorbed bastard of a guy. I think it's because he really does want happiness. He just doesn't know how to grab it and hold onto it. I think most of us can identify with that yearning. Anyway, fascinating character!

Plus the writing, the set design, hair, costumes, acting -- everything is top-notch. I love the wry humor, the historical references, the terrifyingly backwards attitudes. Really looking forward to Season 3.

They're not on hulu, no, but I've bought the first two seasons at my local Borders for $19.99 a pop and that's more than worth it, I d say. Also, they're very easy to get, illegally, online

Anywho, I am a huge fan of the show and, really, the only bummer's gonna be having to wait a whole week between episodes. That's what happened with me with The Wire, too. I burned through the first four seasons in like two weeks only to be tortured by the weeks of waiting between season five episodes. Bad times
