THE TERMINATOR (1984)

Post Re: THE TERMINATOR (1984)
I'm awaiting that Robocop one with great patience. :-)

T1 is a phenomenal movie. I recently re-watched it and was very, very pleased with the entire feel and set-up of the whole movie. That said, I occasionally found myself gawking at the soundtrack, but that's all well and good considering the movies abundant qualities.

Robocop is tentatively scheduled for July 8.

Sounds grand. It's a movie I re-watched several times around the time you announced the 80s series, and so I've been very interested as to what you'll say about it since then.

Hopefully this isn't too forward of me to post, but here is what James said about "Robocop" when he reviewed "Robocop 3":

"The great thing about the original Robocop(directed by a pre-Basic Instinct Paul Verhoeven) was a tongue-in-cheek attitude coupled with an indefatigable wit. There was action, to be sure, but the script was clever, and it made the old superhero formula seem fresh."

As far as Robocop 2 and 3 are concerned, he thinks Robocop 2 is "plodding and pointlessly violent" while Robocop 3 is "merely a run-of-the-mill superhero movie, complete with comic-book type villains and a plot of limited scope and even more restricted appeal."

My opinions of the three have not changed.
