Looks like Michael Bay is taking a few pointers from Man of Steel. Looks tighter and sharper than the first three. Definitely should be less goofy, and it looks like Bay is really bringing on the visuals with this one. I'm excited, it looks good.

So seeing this. The first one would be in my top 20 all time.

I liked the third Transformers. Michael Bay actually lets his shots linger for more than a few seconds at a time, probably because he was forced to since the movie was shot in 3D. And I'm actually looking forward to Transformers 4. I think dumping LeBouf for Wahlberg was a smart idea. It's given the movie a fresh feel. At least that's what I got from the trailer.

And as for Sin City 2, can't freaking wait for that. It looks great and of course I loved the first one. It's too bad that Michael Clarke Duncan had to be replaced since he died. But they got Dennis Haysbert as his replacement and he's a great choice.

If the first two were already in your bottom 20, why'd you see the third?

Really excited to see this, enjoyed the first three films and i'm sure this one will be pretty good as well.

I saw the first one. It was like Michael Bay spread his butt cheeks and pooped into my eyes.

I'm not a big fan of poop, so I don't think I'll watch any more. It's got Marky Mark though. I bet he'll get paid a lot.

This is the toughest yet fairest review I've seen since James Deen tweeted "Robocop is perfect. It shouldn't have been touched. This remake is proof that there is no god".

Should elevate the acting level too, but then Frances McDormand and John Turturro somehow were meh in the last one. So I'm not holding my breath.

I enjoyed this nice little editorial by the Nostalgia Critic. "When is a movie just a movie?"

Bill Nye is asked four questions at SXSW, one of which is, "What are the most realistic science fiction movies ever made?"

If anyone doesn't watch the video (but you should, because the other three questions are cool too), his answers are The Andromeda Strain and Gattaca.

Kristin Thompson once wrote a book on a theoretical model of modern screenwriting. She sent the book out to several of the directors cited in the book along with requests for blurbs to use on the cover. Harold Ramis not only sent back a blurb, but also a full letter to thank Thompson for including him and to discuss his own thoughts on screenwriting.

Captain America 3 and Batman vs Superman to be released on the same day

Who's ready for the throwdown to end all throwdowns?

I'm not sure it'll be that, I can't imagine Captain America 3 will make much against BvS. We don't even know if Captain America 2 will be popular yet.

Two big blockbusters have opened opposite each other before, and one of them always moves (at least from my recollection). Will be very interesting if this is not the case though.

I've never seen such an open, blunt "fuck you" in this industry before. Is Marvel being run by a bunch of petty kids? Man, there must really be a crash coming.

Don't really think that indicates a crash.

Actually Marvel schedules for that date first, so if anyone is being a "fuck you" petty kid (which I don't think one is) it's Warner Bros.

Huh? How so? WB had the release date before Cap 3.
