Post Nostalgia not what it once was
I modestly propose that the members of this here Forum collectively undertake not to lament the passage of time (that is to say the Forum as it was 4-5 years previously).

Clearly, this was a time when happiness and wisdom were showered upon every fortunate reader like a ... big showery thing, but we must strain to live in the here-and-now.

What say, my post-apocalyptic comrades?

Post Re: Nostalgia not what it once was
It's not as if we all reminisce about the grandness that was those first few months, maybe a year. It comes up every now and again but most seem to move forward without braying on about the past. Hell, we used to bray on about the past right in the middle of the good times. Not that these times aren't good. It's like learning how to live without an arm or a leg: life goes on but now with phantom limbs to cause pain. It may be argued that we had a few limbs we could afford to lose, actually. It could be argued that we still have a few limbs that could get shorn off, not really missed.

We are not now that strength which in old days

Moved earth and heaven; that which we are, we are;

One equal temper of heroic hearts,

Made weak by time and fate, but strong in will

To strive, to seek, to find, and not to yield.

Yeah, we suck now.

At the start of the forum there was 110 years of movie history to explore. Now there are the archives and current events. I'm not a good contributor, but I do very much appreciate the current folks who are doing most of the driving.
