Ya'll forget, family guy was also canceled by fox. Although it has lost a lot of edge the past few years. the original seasons and the version 2.0 first few seasons were very good imo tho

I'll toss my vote for MST3K. What a great series. The MST3K movie had some epic lines.
Mike nelson still does stuff over at rifftrax.com.

Arrested Development
Freaks and Geeks
Futurama
Wonderfalls
Pushing Daisies
Twin Peaks
Freakazoid!

For anyone who hasn't seen Freakazoid!, it is probably one of the funniest, zaniest, off-the-wall cartoons in the history of television. Highly recommended!

Never even heard of it, but given that you named some of my other favorite shows, I will have to check it out.

You've never heard of Freakazoid...and I think we're around the same age! Were you living under a rock reading books and not watching one of the best cartoons this side of Animaniacs.....god I miss Animaniacs.

Yes, I grew up in a rural area with lots of rocks... and read books instead of watching TV. That hit a little too close to home, *sniff*.
But I've tried to make up for lost time since then--but good news, I've now heard of Freakazoid!

I must be like the only person on here who dosen't miss Arrested Development at all, never really cared much for that show, and besides the creators said that they had by the time the show was cancelled they had taken the premise of the series as far as they could, and the cast were ready to move on to other things as well. I agree with Futurama, though the movies did a good enouigh job of wrapping up the series that I don't mind too much. The 2 TV shows I miss the most are George Lopez and The War At Home, while the former did go downhill slightly in the last season without Masiella Luscha in the cast, it was still pretty enjoyable and it ended too abruptly, I can't believe ABC cancelled it for Cavemen of all things, that's one of the biggest insults ever! And Cavemen itself got cancelled anyways, looks like ABC aren't too bright when it comes to handling sitcoms eh? And I know there's plenty of people who hate War At Home with a passion, thought it's mainly that's becuase it replaced Arrested Development, War At Home was far more realistic then most dysfunctional family sitcoms and managed to be pretty hilarious at the same time, Michael Rapaport really gets into his role and scores plenty of laughs and while I can understand people being annoyed with his character, especially James since I know all too well how much he hates Rapaport, his acting style fits in perfectly with his character, though the supporting cast also complimented him well. Plus one thing original about the show is having moments where the characters reveal they're inner thoughts by having cutaways with characters breaking the fourth wall or have over-the-top fantasies, though this device isn't just used for laughs, it's also used for serious moments and it works very well overall, God I miss that show! Though I cna imagine it bieng the type of show that would give James a migraine, especially with Rapaport haivng most of the screentime. Oh and one other show I almost forgot about, the short-lived WB drama Jack And Bobby, that show mainly failed becuase it made an ill fated attempt to mix to combine politics with teenage drama, if the whole political aspect of the show was removed, it wouldn't have gotten cancelled so soon, I know this for a fact as the episodes that didn't have those political flash-forwards in them flowed together much better overall.

Malcolm in the Middle, which I never saw during its six-year run and am only just now catching here and again in local syndication. Catching part of a sitcom at close to 2am feels like getting away with something.

The show is hysterical, and I don't mean funny. The characters tread the line between sociopathic and tremendously flawed and the acting, especially on the part of show's lead Frankie Muniz, is mostly terrible. Still, they seemed to handle three story lines for every episode and there is something likeable about the family despite every attempt by the writers to make them unsympathetic. Once in a while there is even something bordering on touching -- it's weird. I wouldn't go so far to say that the show shouldn't have been cancelled but it's a fair bet that most sitcoms airing today are no better.

Except, of course, they don't have a dreadful theme song by the dreadful They Might Be Giants. That's the thing that makes Malcolm really special.

It's by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, and if you actually think They might Be Giants are dreadful, our professional relationship is over.

No, it really is by They Might Be Giants. It even won them a Grammy, whatever that might mean.

And They Might Be Giants are dreadful. But if you took away the smarmy, creepy qualities of the music it'd be... still dreadful.

There's no accounting for taste.

Nowhere Man
Kitchen Confidential
Reunion
Lyon's Den
Drive
Fastlane
Hack
Boomtown
Tru Calling
Traveler
Justice
Eli Stone (I don't think this show has been officially canceled yet but it will be, you can count on that)

And I'll probably be adding Reaper to this list as well. And hopefully, I will NOT be adding Chuck to the list.

I'm sure there are a lot more that I'm forgetting.

Poor Veronica Mars. I don't TIVO or record anything and it's impossible to follow any show for very long due to a long list of potential interruptions. I usually wait for the DVDs to arrive and then go at it. To date, Buffy the Vampire Slayer is the only series I've made it through. Veronica Mars was going strong but the plug was pulled. Things were going so well, too; it was Buffy-lite but there were many episodes that neared genius. It happened all the time. Then: plug pulled. The Wire is next and I'm 99% sure it'll be the last TV series I watch in its entirety.

I've also been catching it in syndication. Love it. Especially the episode where the unborn baby is telling Dewey to do crazy things...

Reese: What are you doing?
Dewey: Can you hold these for a second? (holding elastic ropes stuck in a closet)
Reese: Sure. (takes them) What's this for anyway?
Dewey: You'll see. (opens door to hit Reese with melon)
Reese: Are you crazy?
Dewey: It wasn't my idea. The baby told me to.
Reese: Wait a minute. Mom's baby? You think Mom's baby talks to you?
Dewey: Yes! It's telling me to do all these crazy things.
Reese: Let me give you a little advice. You've got to ignore the voices. They're not on your side. And you never tell anyone about them. Especially your teachers; they get panicky for no reason. You understand?
Dewey: I think so.
Reese: Attaboy. You're going to be okay. (punches him)

If Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles gets cancelled, it will be a travesty.

Nothing official until May, and all the rumors that it has been canceled have turned out to be false (the writers say it isn't yet, and all the sets that were torn down were destroyed in the finale, anyway)
