Strongly disagree, he was fantastic in Running Scared and Pawn Shop Chronicles.

Walker was rougher than those others at least. More of what a male action star should be. This year he also became a producer of quality work. Between fast films he found time to finance pawn shop chronicles, a small project that wouldn't exist without him. So he belongs in the wahlberg/affleck/pitt/cruise group as well. RIP.

Right on vex, pawn shop was a really different role for him too.

Just found an amusing article about Benedict Cumberbatch doing motion capture for Smaug in the upcoming Hobbit film. Dragon method acting and all.

"Mathilda" Cast reunion and reenactment of scenes.

Man, Ms. Trenchbull still got it. And Fat Bruce, like one comment said, totally Neville'd.

Kiefer's the only reason why I'm at all looking forward to that movie.

Double Whammy for you guys! I'm just going to link to the site I get most movie news from, if that's okay with everyone.

First up, Production on Fast & Furious 7 officially shut down, but franchise not over.

And in somewhat related news, Gal Gadot, who had a supporting role in that franchise, is set to play Wonder Woman. Giggity.

Here's the Sundance lineup. I'm most intrigued by God's Pocket

Should be pretty fun. Kiefer's costume looks solid enough too. Might be my first must-see of 2014. The 300 sequel looks like it could go either way.

Both films looks pretty awful to me.

The Coen brothers' next movie might be set in ancient Rome.

I think the biggest news out of that is Joel Coen saying they "chickened out" with A Serious Man. I guess they're referring to the ambiguity of the ending? It sounds like they're going to make their points with much more force in this one, which is exciting and also a little terrifying. I'm not sure a ton of folks are going to be pleased with where that movie will take them, assuming the Coens follow through.

The Amazing Spider-man 2 Official trailer.

Hmm looks messy (as I thought when I heard about how many villains there are), but potentially in a fun way. I like Dehaan in the role, and really love that refreshing, vivid color palette.

Too many villains, just like Spider-Man 3. And Webb's approach is just too cartoony for me.

Liked the first one and this one looks even better, so color me excited.

Wachowskis' Jupiter Ascending trailer.

Offbeat casting choices and a weirdly traditional story (then again, not everything of them can be Cloud Atlas), but I've at least liked every one of their films so still excited for this.

Looks like Thor meets The Princess Diaries to me. Channing Tatum is Thor while Mila Kunis plays the Anne Hathaway character who is unknowingly a (inter-stellar) princess. Could well be a gloriously expensive mess. That said, it's sci-fi so I'm automatically seeing this of course.

And a bit of news:

Simon Pegg, appropriately enough, will play the lead in the new Monty Python almost-reunion movie.

Edge of Tomorrow trailer, starring Tom Cruise and directed by Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity). Looks like an action-packed Source Code.
