My favourite habit is to go unshaven, unshowered, and wearing blood (actually paint) covered clothes and sunglasses - find a young and attractive couple, and sit next to them, laughing, shouting and hurling abuse throughout.

I tell you, the looks I get!

I'm surprised you've never been thrown out for acting like that.

99.9999% of the time, I go by myself. Wouldn't have it any other way.

Last week, myself and Paula went to the cinema.
She wanted to see Runner and I wanted to see Bad Grandpa.
She has absolutely no interest in BG and I have no interest in RR.
How and ever she refused to split up in thr cinema and watch Runner Runner on her own.
So we had to compromise and see one filem together.
I cannot see any issue with seeing a film by myself. Paula does.

Women tend to have more trouble seeing movies alone than men do.

Didn't hear it, it's just what I think from observation. Not to say there aren't exceptions, but in general that statement holds up pretty well. The women I know personally take no offense to that, and instead readily admit it. Watching films alone has always been more of a stereotypical male occupation. For me, apart from being a passion, it's just a great way to relax. Maybe it's not that they have trouble, but simply are less inclined to it.

About half the time I go it's usually on my own. Last oen I saw was The Counselor and I saw it on my own. I've gone with friends and family. But I agree with the viewpoint that a movie is not a good choice for a first date because that's not a time when you want to be thinking about story or characters or structure, Third or fourth date yes.

Women tend to be more social creatures and there may be a "safety in numbers" thing that guys don't even consider when going out for an activity or event.

I think that last bit is a big part of it. A woman by herself is probably going to get hassled by some guy.
