Sounds awesome, i'll definitely be seeing this tomorrow! I'm surprised you didn't mention the upcoming "White House Down", which has a very similar premise.

I loved it. Reminded me of the kind of action movies we got in the 90's. The Rock, The Peacemaker, Air Force One. I saw a LOT of Air Force One in this. This and Machine Gun Preacher are the kinds of movies Gerard Butler should be making. He's pretty awesome in this.

This is the movie A Good Day to Die Hard SHOULD have been!

The best scene of the movie and maybe my favorite scene from any movie this year, is the 20 minute sequence of the actual takeover. From the plane mowing people down with machine guns from the air, to the frontal assault, it's a sensation and spectacular sequence.

Solid *** all the way.

Way better than most action movies I've seen in a while.

I agree with every letter in every word in every sentence in this post. The takeover is definitely going to be one of the best action scenes of the year, if not the best.

Also loved it, best Die-Hard rip-off i've ever seen. The invasion scene is going to be tough for Fuqua to top, Butler is badass in the lead role, I think it's his best performance by far(barring Machine Gun Preacher). One thing's for sure, it's going to be tough for White House Down to top this.

Butler is good but I wouldn't say this was best performance. He was better in Machine Gun Preacher, which was a great movie.

I'm sure you guys are just shocked that he was able to maintain his American accent for the entire movie for once.

Eh, I don't usually notice when he slips up unless people point it out to me.

This is one big dumb action movie that totally forgets about dialogue, plot and logic but somehow managed to be entertaining. The formula of tying a simple plot to expensive well mounted action set pieces is pulled off fairly well compared to something like the Expendables. The only part that was a bit flat was Gerard Butler who was okay but doesn't quite have the charisma of Bruce Willis in Die Hard or Tom Cruise in Jack Reacher.

I just had the feeling that the filmmaker was trying to pull a fast one on the audience with the Cerberus angle.

[Reveal] Spoiler:
If the ICBMs are programmed to sell destruct while in flight I would think the program would be designed not to work when they were stationary in the silo. Also the self destruct would blow up the rocket not set off the nuclear bomb to stop the missile and I believe that the rocket exploding would not blow the nuke like dynamite or start the complicated nuclear detonation process.

Saw this today and had a lot of fun. Reminds me of the old-school action flicks we got in the 80s and 90s before superheroes cornered the market.

This film seems a lot of fun. I can hardly wait to see it here down under :-)
