Scorsese's still at the top. Michael Mann joins the second group I mentioned previously as I now own 5 by him.

Post Re: Top Directors in Your Collection
My collection is meager, compared to most film buffs, but here goes. I was actually a bit surprised with some of these...

Five films
David Fincher - Alien3, Seven, The Game, Fight Club, Zodiac
Steven Spielberg - Jaws, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Jurassic Park, Schindler's List, Saving Private Ryan

Four films
James Cameron - The Terminator, Aliens, Terminator 2, True Lies
Robert Zemeckis - Back to the Future trilogy, Contact

Three films
Rob Reiner - Stand by Me, When Harry Met Sally, A Few Good Men
Francis Ford Coppola - The Godfather trilogy
Mel Gibson - The Man Without a Face, Braveheart, Apocalypto
Peter Jackson - The Lord of the Rings trilogy

Two films
Alfred Hitchcock - Rear Window, Vertigo (I do have a 20-film boxset of his early films as well)
John Hughes - The Breakfast Club, Ferris Bueller's Day Off
John McTiernan - Die Hard, Predator
Christopher Nolan - Memento, The Prestige
Roman Polanski - Chinatown, The Pianist
Ridley Scott - Alien, Blade Runner
Steven Soderbergh - Ocean's Eleven, Ocean's Twelve
Quentin Tarantino - Reservoir Dogs, Pulp Fiction
Paul Verhoeven - Robocop, Starship Troopers
Wes Craven - A Nightmare on Elm Street, Scream
Clint Eastwood - Letters from Iwo Jima, Mystic River
