Post EVE Online
I know I already have an active gamin thread going on, but I just started playing EVE. I keep reading about all this interesting stuff that the players can get away with and I've been interested in it for a while.

Are there any EVE players on the forum?

You know how every game has "them"?

You may be most familier with the "them" from WoW.

You dont hear about "them" in Eve, because everyone in Eve is "Them"

Dont play Eve.

I've been told that EVE Online is a good game...if you were one of the first 30k players or so who've become like unto gods for everyone who started playing since 2004. It said to be very newbie-UNfriendly and an extreme example of a niche MMO.

Well, these are all good reasons to avoid EVE, but I tried it out anyways. It's honestly not that hard to get into; once you understand the game mechanics there are a lot of opportunities to do cool stuff. The other thing is that it doesn't require "dailies" - or the required day to day grinding - to get somewhere. You can send your ship somewhere and not have to worry about it. It's kind of fun to just have open in the background of your computer while you do other things.

It's also essentially the only MMO to not lose players during its existence. Even WoW has been hemorrhaging players lately.
