Pretty much. With Radiohead though, for the most part I get nothing out of it. Which is strange because it should technically have all the elements I need to love. Typically light, falsetto, simple, psychedelic themes, decently layered composition. But in my experience it's like listening to a stone. Doesn't do anything to me. No entertainment value either.

A recent development? I had searched the forums looking for opinions on The King of Limbs and littered between some thoughts I noted a post from you saying that you had never really listened to them. Their music is fairly dense and improves greatly upon repeat listens. I encourage you to give them a few more months before forming a definite opinion.

Dropkick Murphys - Going Out in Style

Good record and, I think, the first upgrade in their music since Sing Loud, Sing Proud.

Ayrie - cover of In Your Room by Depeche Mode

Not bad at all among the numerous covers of DM songs out there. It took a song from an album where DM were trying to go away from pure electronics and took it right back into that genre with its throbbing techno beat.

You remember Donkey Kong Country 2...more specifically the soundtrack?

http://dkc2.ocremix.org/

I found that, a remix album...for free and it's as awesome as your mind can comprehend it.

Someone said Depeche Mode, so, I listened to 18 straight Depeche Mode songs.

'Policy of Truth' is till the best song of 1990. Just saying.

Gotta go with 'Enjoy the Silence' from that album, actually.

Tom Morello: The Nightwatchman's new album World Wide Rebel Songs

An album that is very appropriate for this day and age, considering the 'Occupying' going on globally, Morello never overplays his political cards, tightens his cries and songs, and rips off some groovy and original Morello-esque solos both vocally and musically.

Definitely him going for Neil Young/Bob Dylan-esque type of genre, obviously he isn't as good as either one of those two, but this album is very, very well done. Considering the pathetic state music is in nowadays, this is nice, refreshing material that is absolutely worth a listen:

My favorite track on the album, titled "Stray Bullets":

Sounds like a perfect Halloween album.

It just wouldn't be a proper Halloween without some sweet serenading from the one and only Tim Curry. Watch if you dare!

I find myself "getting" indie rock with a band called Hey Ocean. I think I understand the draw of radiohead a bit better now. Chill stuff.

'Paradise Circus' by Massive Attack with Mazzy Star Singer on vocals. I like it enough.

I just got around to going through the Rolling Stone Top of 2011 list - always a great place to find new music. Wild Flag's eponymous debut album is one of the best first efforts I've heard in the considerably short period of time I've been interested in the indie scene. It rivals Fleet Foxes' eponymous debut in the awesomeness scale.

I looooved From Mars to Sirius. It featured highly on top 15 metal albums post I made here once. That said, I didn't dig the follow up. Discouraged, I never even bothered with their older albums. What do you like?

I've got Dido's White Flag stuck in my head right now. ARRRGGH. I don't even know how the hell it got there except that perhaps she came to mind when I was thinking about Faithless, since her brother Rollo was one of the founding members of that group. Still....ARRRGH!!!
