My bad, it turns out it was actually Robert Pattison who said Meyers was insane, Stewart still hates the franchise, though she's considerably less vocal about it then Pattinson.

Apparently Stewart hating Twilight/Meyrs is more media spin than anything else. Evidently most of the quotes have been taken out of context.
Robert Pattinson genuinely thinks Meyrs is a nutter, as seen in this interview. I guess they can't get rid of him now, but presumably would if they could.
Another good movie with Stewart in it that hasn't been mentioned in this thread is The Yellow Handkerchief. Well worth seeing imo. Can still honestly say I have not seen any of the Twilight films, and nothing I have heard about them has me even remotely tempted to change that.
