Sorry it took me so long to get this contest up. Last week, thered47 asked what constitutes a negative. Not to put him on the spot, but I'm going to point to Ed for this illustration. He got both films incorrect last week, lowering his overall total from 1 to 0.5. In addition, he gambled one point on Cannibal Holocaust and got it wrong, bringing him down to -0.5 points. He'll have to get something correct before he can gamble again. Sorry, Ed!

Case Di Me Padre-*** This is looking like it might be a little darker and more action-oriented than most of Will Ferrell's typical output - perhaps his version of Blazing Saddles (plus, it's rated R so that can't hurt) so I'm gonna predict this one to be a winner

Seeking Justice-** This looks rather generic, plus it has Nick Cage and we all know by now how reliable he is; it does feature Guy Pearce but I have the feeling that this is just a paycheck job for him (and I bet he's gonna be the rapist in the end)

21 Jump Street-**1/2 This might be entertaining in fits and starts but I can't see this winning James over - but at least they did invite Johnny Depp for a cameo as I just found out a minute ago!

John Carter-**1/2 Another Prince of Persia?

Actually Johnny Depp DOES have a cameo in the film, though it's uncredited according to IMDB

Well don't I feel like a dumbass!

I'm a bit more optimistic based on the director being Andrew Stanton.

Edit: However, it may have wise for me to have perused Rotten Tomatoes.

Second Edit: Well, my optimism seems to have paid off.

Thanks for getting this thread up Pedro. Although, ironically, I was too late for John Carter.

CASE DE MI PADRE - 2.5 (I always felt that Will Farrell played pretty much the same character in most of his movies (with a couple of exceptions like Stranger Than Fiction) and therefore quickly became boring after Anchorman. All that seemed to change with the characters was the name and career)
SEEKING JUSTICE - 3 (Has Nick Cage which has become a not so good sign recently but the premise has potential plus director who JB has given several 3 star ratings to so...)
GAMBLE: 21 JUMP STREET - 2.5 (.5 stars) (This one is hard but hey, I'll give it a go, from the previews, it really looks like it cannot possibly be good enough to make 3 stars but after that, the level of awfulness quickly becomes hard to determine.
