Re: General Oscar Chatter This awards show is definitely going to be one of the more surprising one in a while. I can't wait. The best director category is still up in the air. I strongly believe Spielberg just ain't gonna cut it. There is a lot of love for Argo and still Life of Pi; so without Affleck, then we can count in Ang Lee.
Would've been nice to see Affleck win this award though; the man is definitely an accomplished director now. One day, I hope. |

The biggest question for me is not who wins the various awards but whether Sean Connery shows up for the Bond tribute. I believe all the others are confirmed but, although there's a rumor that Connery has agreed, nothing official has come across the pipeline. I guess they're trying to maintain the suspense, but it will be a huge letdown if he doesn't show up. |
