This year, I plan to once again be doing a live commentary during the Oscar-cast, although it remains open to question whether I'll be able to stay awake to the bitter end.

I'll also be doing the "Beat Berardinelli" contest once again. As with last year, there will be a prize to the winner - either a DVD in the mail (your choice from Amazon.com) or a review of your choice.

I'm not super confident about this year's Oscars. If you look at my results for last year, it was a very steep comedown. Maybe I've lost my mojo.

Koyaanisqatsi has long been my go-to review choice for James. Maybe not anymore, but it'd still be a contender.

We're having our own Reelviews Oscars (renamed to THE PEDROS) this year again. Feel free to vote, if time and interest permit (see my sig for more). I also don't know if you're making a Reelthoughts announcement about the Beat Berardinelli contest, but a word about Reelviews' forum very own oscars might drive more interest. I'm thinking more registered forum users --> more pageviews --> more ad dollars. Maybe. Maybe not. Either way, we're happy to hear about the Oscar-cast and the contest. Yay!
