Ed, I'd like to try a 1-5 weighing if that pleases the assembly.

I went off of this KenDogg.

I understood that to mean five noms, but it seems odd to place five votes per final award.

Methinks that's how the Academy does it.

That's weird and scary.

If we're sticking to the Academy's way, can I come out, open the Best Picture envelope, then leave all in a matter of 10 seconds? And who gets to make the agonizingly long speeches? So many questions...

Isn't the point of this whole thing to do it unlike the Academy? Also, aren't Academy members required to see all the movies?

I'm with Ken. We've already ranked our choices, I don't see the point in ranking the nominees, especially when a lot of people haven't seen all the movies.

I've been away for some time. How does the voting work and when is the deadline?

The preferred method would be to PM Pedro with your picks ranked according to preference (1-5). If you haven't seen one of the nominees place 'XX' next to the title.

The deadline is supposed to be tonight, but Pedro is usually flexible about these things.

I just left off the ones I didn't see.

Will we be graced with the winners anytime soon?

Maybe next year we can set a better timeline to vote for nominees and winners, because frankly the Awards season is considered complete with the Academy Awards and yet our winners haven't been announced.

Darn it! I forgot to vote. It's too late now, I suppose, isn't it?

No, go ahead, I'm not doing anything until tomorrow.

That's because our winners are much more important.

I'm PMing my votes to Pedro in just a few minutes.

I'll be honest: I didn't want to work on this today, nor do I want to work on this tonight. I'll tabulate the votes this weekend; tonight I'm going to work on the visual presentation, which will be identical to last year.

Can you use any more double entendres for the blue balls you've given me Pedro? ;)

I have successfully tabulated the votes and designed all the pictures. All I have to do is make the actual post, which will happen sometime before my 3:00 PM class tomorrow. To tease!

~Picture/director split!
~Black Swan only wins two categories, one of which was a close race. Wouldn't that be something if it didn't win jack shit?
~The Animated, Documentary, and Foreign Language winners are predictable.
