 Poll #56: Double-dipping DVD's
I'm going ancient school in the Poll ideas thread and I'm using Ken's idea which he proposed about 7 months ago.
So would you and have you double-dipped if a shinier and expanded DVD came out for a movie you already own?

I double-dipped once because I wanted my DVD to be both strawberry AND cookies and cream flavored. And it was worth it

Would (albeit grudgingly and only if the upgrade is obviously superior) and have. The Seven Samurai most recently (better transfer, better subtitles and some actual extras) but I've done it for at least three or four others. Sin City, for example.

 Re: Poll #56: Double-dipping DVD's
LOTRs I actually triple-dipped on: theatrical, than extended-versions, the the old theatrical dvds again as I had given my original theatrical discs to my brother (who proceeded to sell them). I've also resigned myself to the fact I'm going to buy each Harry Potter film twice with the new four-disc Ultimate Editions they have planned.

Mainly double dipped with Pixar movies.
My wife wanted to get the ones that didn't have the Spanish audio option. She's trying to expose them to as much Spanish as possible.
Also to replace the DVD's that had teeth marks one them...so they wouldn't skip. Darn kids.

Blade Runner for me, also some box sets where I already owned one or two of the films- Aliens, Spiderman, Hitchcock, Kubrick.

 Re: Poll #56: Double-dipping DVD's
I own three copies of Serenity--both DVD releases and the Blu ray. I don't know if I'd do it for any other film--I'd get the blu ray if it was cheap but not a new 'collector's edition.'
