Poll #25: Favorite Monty Python movie
After the aftermath of Almost the Truth, I think now's a good time to get your take on the best Monty Python movie.

My vote goes to Holy Grail, it's the funniest plain and simple.

In an ideal world, Brian and Grail would share the top spot. But for having much sharper teeth at the expense of less outright farcical elements, I give the edge to Brian.

I'm going to refrain from voting in this poll until I rewatch Holy Grail and see Life of Brian, but I hated Meaning of Life so that's out. I doubt And Now for Something Completely Different would ever top my list, but I'll probably consider watching it in the future. I imagine Life of Brian would be my favorite, but I don't know.

This is a no brainer for me. The Holy Grail all the way. The scene where Lancelot is running through the streets killing everyone is one of the funniest scenes in cinema history. Stem to stern that movie is absolutely hilarious and is completely rewatchable.

I'm voting for the Holy Grail being that that's the only Python movie I've seen. I tried to watch Life of Brian but I couldn't get past the first twenty minutes of it. My favorite scene in the former would undoubtedly be the killer rabbit. Hilarious!

Holy Grail wins by default, as it's the only one I've seen.

Life of Brian, for me. Holy Grail is probably the one with the bigger laughs of the two but, second to second, Brian is funnier throughout. Hard to pick between the two, though. They both lose steam as they move toward the finish line. Brian, however, has the benefit of ending with a wonderful tune.

Another vote for Life of Brian. Both movies are hilarious, but the slightly more focused nature of Life of Brian is a positive. Also...good poll Paddy.

Holy Grail. A masterpiece of comedy.
On the other hand, "The Meaning of Life" was one of the biggest movie disappointments I ever experienced.

Try playing the Meaning of Life computer game that was out in the late 90's I think? Talk about being an even bigger disappointment lol... My vote goes to Life of Brian for the reason already stated above...but i DO love The Holy Grail...a tough choice.
