Once again...thank you for that earlier post Mr. B.

Hoping you "enjoyed" Clint just as much.

The following posters will be heading to the next round:

Patrick
Ricky Polim
Jim 85 (who now gets the full apology treatment)
Bob Harris
Zeppelin
Pedro
oafolay
ram1312
Shrunkenhead
samptime

On a slightly depressing note, the two threadmakers of the competition are 0-2 this week. Why couldn't I guess that Zooey Deschanel + James = anarchy? :)

I must thank Mr. Berardinelli for posting the excerpt from his Gigantic, as I was able to stay in the running (for now).

Ah, damn it. I totally forgot about this. Though I'm not sure why I lowered my grade when a Deschanel topless scene was put into the equation.

(stupid, Ryan, stupid!)

Now, moving onto round tres...

Patrick (1.5)
Pedro (2)
oafolay (2)
Shrunkenhead (1.5)
samptime (2)

Congratulations, all of you for the money you've been sending James over PayPal accounts! Your investment has finally paid off!

Hmmm... 1.5 vs. 2. Who knows what'll happen when mediocre meets barely watchable? All I know is it looks like James perhaps won't be enjoying his evening with this one...

Whoa! I actually made it to the second round! Cool!

Anyway, moving on, what I can't believe is that he's actually agreeing to review Hanna Montana:The Movie. Doesn't he normally try to actively avoid that type of movie as much as possible? At any rate, I just hope that he doesn't feel the urge to jump off a 12-story building and impale himself on a wooden stake in the middle of the busiest street in New York City after that one. Taken in concert with Fast and Furious this is not looking like a good week for James. But he'll probably recover from it soon enough. Maybe, Protect and Serve will be good enough to mitigate some of the pain. Ha,ha,ha.

Well damnit...half star again. Good luck to those remaining.

And good luck to Mr. B...watching Hannah. I honestly cannot wait for that review.

The screening is going to be surreal. It's one of those combined press/promotional things. I can see it now - 12 adult film critics surrounded by 300 screaming female tweens.

It is, however, a better option than going to see it the day it opens. That's when it really gets creepy to be a 41-year old male sitting in a theater full of young girls. You'd expect Chris Hanson to be waiting at the exit.

I can only imagine seeing your face flush with embarrassment on that one. Ha, ha, ha. I would also expect a ton of preteens at the screening as well. My 10-year-old sister loooooooooooves Hanna Montana, so if that's anything to go by, there will be a ton of kids in that age range as well as the tweens. I pray for you.

Oh my God that was good.

Just don't wear a hooded sweatshirt and have your hands in your pockets.

And I hope you give Fast and Furious a 2.5...throw in that wrench.

Sheesh, I've never even made it past the first guess. If this continues I'm going to have to get a little assistance à la Faust.

The winners of round 5:

All of whom won a spot in jealous hell  And, of course, a step closer to making Mr. Berardinelli watch Cannibal Holocaust on New Year's Eve. Fun times ahead, James :)
