15 minutes after you posted this, James reviewed Magic Mike  A shame too, since imo it is the easiest one of the lot

Ted: **1/2 When I saw the trailer for this, it didn't look too promising to me and I can't imagine James being too thrilled about it either... then again, I could be totally wrong knowing my luck

Savages: *** More the Oliver Stone of U-Turn than the political Oliver Stone; this should be luridly entertaining enough to earn a passing grade

To Rome With Love: **1/2 Lesser Woody according to critics but it does have Ellen Page and Jesse Eisenberg and those two should be enough to make it watchable

The Amazing Spider-Man (2): *** Let's just hope that this reboot will send the franchise in a better direction than did the 2002 original

Gamble: The Amazing Spider-man - 3.0 (1.0)

I'm probably gonna see Spider-man tomorrow. If during that time no new review of my above guesses have been posted, I still can change the gamble guess right?

I'm going to refer to the wording from the rules section for this one, "Guesses may not be edited after the first review has been posted, except in cases where the first film reviewed is a bonus." And, "Like normal guesses, bets may not be edited after the first review is posted unless the first review posted is a bonus."

If James' most recent tweet is anything to go by, looks like he didn't like the new Spiderman movie and most of us stand to lose some points in this week's competition (so far, this has happened every fucking time that I've attempted to gamble points on a guess - perhaps I should just stop altogether and quit while I'm behind?).

But he also said "exceptions possible" so for all we know, he actually liked the film and is just being coy about it.

I'm not gonna change my guesses either way, but so that means if one comes late to a round, he/she can't change their mind a few hours later? (given that during that hours no new review has been posted)

Vex, I think "exception possible" is just James' way of not talking absolutes when speaking of things he don't like, and this tweet comes right before the week that Spider-man opens, and the movie fits all the 3 criteria that he listed, so pretty sure he's referring to it.

Another thing: I've seen it. And thinking on the way back before seeing his tweet that it's either low 3 or high 2.5 stars, which I'm inclined towards the latter.

There are reasons to hope for the best here; so far, this film is doing pretty well with most other critics (as per rottentomatoes.com at least) and James did think highly of the director's previous film, 500 Days of Summer. Let's just hope that his little tweet was simply an act of misdirection on his part; a sly attempt to plant the seeds of doubt in everyone.
