Post Movies that You're ashamed that you've never seen
We all post here because we love movies but for many of us that doesn't mean that we've seen every movie under the sun. It could be a classic that never interested you, a box office giant that you never got around to seeing, or even just a cult film that many people have come to see and talk about. What are some of yours?

Classic-Lawrence of Arabia. I know how great it's supposed to be. Even like Lean(love Bridge on the River Kwai). Just haven't pulled it off the shelf to watch yet. I will. Eventually.
Box Office Giant-Harry Potter. I own all of them but have yet to see any in theaters and have only seen the first one in it's entirety. Maybe I'll catch up before the next one comes out.
Cult film-really anything by David Lynch.
Other-Hoosiers. Now I'm a HUGE sports fan and have never seen this. Doesn't make sense I know. I can't even explain it other than it's become a source of stubborn pride for years. I think this is the year I break it though as it's sitting there, waiting to be watched before the NCAA tourney this year.

Taxi Driver. Mostly because it sounds like a film right up my alley, and its not like I'm opposed to older films. But I just..don't feel like it.

For years it was Butch Cassidy & the Sundance Kid. Finally saw it last year. Have absolutely no idea why I never saw it before. Something always just came up.

Have to think hard about what movie/s would fit the bill now. Bicycle Thief, maybe? Hmmm...

Schindler's List
Once Upon a Time in America
Top Gun (maybe not a classic, but it sure gets referenced regularly)
E.T. (no idea how I missed it, as I was a child in the 80s. I've seen a few minutes of it on TV, but that doesn't count)

If you're a fan of sci-fi, you really need to pick up Blade Runner directors cut. If at all possible, watch it on a bigger screen, lights out, and crank the volume up. I do this once every couple months. I know...I'm a nerd I'm a nerd I'm a nerd. :geek:

Actually pick up The Final Cut version that was released last year...it improves some glaring technical problems that resulted from the initial editing of the Director's Cut...and it's the most representative cut of Blade Runner...and in Blu Ray.....DAMN....

Sigh.

And so: Snow White, Mary Poppins, Bambi, My Fair Lady, Forrest Gump, Titanic, Braveheart, Cabaret... it goes on like this. How the hell have I managed to not see Forrest Gump? It's weird.

Braveheart is the big one, followed by most of Oliver Stone's work; I've only seen Talk Radio, Any Given Sunday, World Trade Center, W., and U-Turn.

Hi AJ :-)

Let me get this right. Knowing that you had not seen these movies, you still decided to watch those recent movies
I mean, come on
Confessions of a Shopaholic when you could have been watching JFK, Platoon, NBK....

Rob :-)

Oh, how I envy you for getting to see those movies for the first time. Have fun, my friend.

For me it's The Seven Samurai and On the Waterfront. Both are in the Netflix que though.
