Movies in your collection you wish you didn't buy

Post Movies in your collection you wish you didn't buy
I'm sure everyone has some movies they buy and then wonder what they were thinking. Here are 6 movies from my collection I wish I hadn't taken the wrapper off:

Wild Hogs-It was on for ten dollars at Blockbuster. I still haven't watched it.

Bad Boys II-I think I bought it just to complete the collection.

Rush Hour 3-See above.

AVP Alien Vs Predator-I still can't figure out why I have this title, I have no plans on watching it.

Be Cool-Very dull and tries too hard to be funny.

The Village-I've heard so much bad things about this movie, I can't bring myself to watch it. Yet.

Cobra - I like 80's Arnold films but this was horrible.

Smokin Aces - So bad I gave it away.

Mr Deeds (2002) - I like early Adam Sandler films.

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. I found it hugely disappointing. :|

Cobra's a Stallone movie and yes, it does suck.

For me Starship Troopers - I liked it when I saw it on a TV, watched it again and I was bored out of my mind.

Beyond Borders (cousin to Changeling in my mind)
Original Sin (owning this movie is the greatest sin)
The Hunting Party (moral: never judge a movie by its trailer)
Premonition (ended my longtime schoolboy crush on sandra bullock)
Spiderman 3 (greatest unintentional comedy of all time, shame I didn't laugh as much on the second viewing)
Planet of the Apes (..i have nothing to say in my defense..)
Deja Vu (that's it, no more Blockbuster DVD sales scavenging)

{off to start a movie campfire..}

- Spiderman 3 - Free with the PS3. It should have come with a gift certificate, or a better film altogther
- All of the films in my 'Darker Motives...' thread (although I sold 'Frida')
- Kalifornia - What a disappointing film. I'm not sure if this counts, because I did end up selling it, but, this was a waste of money, totally.
- Richard III - The Laurence Olivier boxed set from Criterion is fine, but I'm not too hot about this film. If stand-alone, it would not be purchased.
- Any and all 'special edition' DVDs, especially the Reservoir Dogs gasoline can. What was I thinking?
- Razor edition of Raise The Red Lantern. Thankfully, I have two better versions now (including the underrated Hong Kong edition), and it did result in the most excessively cruel e-mail ever sent to a distributor, so it's not a total loss.

Really? I bought this without watching it after seeing Se7en when I was on a serial killer movie-binge and loved it. I have re-watched it several times and enjoyed it every time.

sorry you didn't like Starship Troopers Patrick, I love that one - have seen it many many times at this point.

Mine:
Deep Blue Sea - still enjoy this one once in a while, but it's not a great film, just fun
Unbreakable - I actually do like this one alright, but I accidentally bought it from ColumbiaHouse.
The Green Mile - someone got it for me as a gift, so doesn't really count, but didn't like it as much as Shawshank.

I've sold any others so long ago that I don't remember.

I can't think of any in my collection. I hardly ever buy movies on DVD I haven't seen. The one exception was Thank You For Smoking which I saw on sale in the Wal-Mart $5.00 DVD bin and that was $5.00 well spent.

My stepmother did have one in her collection: Cloverfield. I went and saw it in theaters and liked it. My opinion of it (which she asked for) was: Good overall. Not something to buy and watch again and again. But a fairly entertaining movie. She ended up buying it as an impulse buy and hating it. In fact, at one point she referred to it as the worst movie she'd ever seen. So when I was getting together a bunch of CDs I'd regretted buying to take back to the store and sell, I asked if she wanted Cloverfield anymore. She replied "Take it. although I don't think anyone's gonna wanna buy it". I did get $5.00 for it.

Salo is one of those films that sticks out like a sore thumb whenever I'm looking through my collection. I got it at one of the 50% off sales at Barnes & Noble, mainly just to see what all the fuss was about. I doubt I'll ever bother to watch it again. I'd be willing to give it away, but I don't think there'd be any takers...

Dog Park. I was on a Janeane Garofalo kick at the time, since she was on a hot streak. This cured me. Not even she could do anything to redeem this turd. Fortunately, the other film I bought on spec, The Minus Man, is quite good and she's great.

Yeah, the cover makes it look like an art house film. This is just brilliant.
