Alan Tudyk

Seconded. This guy is fantastic, from his role in Firefly to Dollhouse to Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Can you think of another actor who achieved comic brilliance in a Michael Bay movie? Tudyk did. He better stick around for a while, he does character acting about as good as most people working today.

Tudyk was fantastic in Tucker & Dale vs Evil. He and Taylor Labine had a wonderful chemistry.

(Ed, I think that makes an even 190 mentions of the film...)

after her excellent acting in Rome,

If this is true then I do pity her and wish her all the best, because no talented actor deserves to be subjected to the unmitigated garbage of a TV show (if you are indeed meaning the HBO series).

Um, many of the TV shows playing on stations like HBO and SHOWTIME are turning out better then many movies that are being released. Have you actually seen Rome or are you just assuming its shit?

Amen to that! The Wire, Breaking Bad, Six Feet Under, Game of Thrones, Mad Men, Deadwood, Dexter, Arrested Development, The Sopranos, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly... the list goes on. Simply a golden age of television. And if you don't watch solely because it's TV, then you are truly missing out.

Shows like Mad Men and Breaking Bad feature better direction and cinematography than 90% of any films out there. And the acting in all of the aforementioned shows is pure quality.

I've got a simple reason for not watching those shows-I don't have cable and probably won't have it anytime soon.

You have my permission to reach 1000. Don't cross that number though.

JOHN HAWKES.

Over the summer, one of my associates had the name of John Hawkes. I told him that if he hadn't watched Winter's Bone, I would have fired him. I don't have that authority, but it made for a good first impression.

How weird is it that he has only 3 scenes in the whole of Contagion? You would have thought the Oscar nom would raise his profile. He's in Martha Marcy May Mary Magdalene. I'm looking forward to that. He plays a cult leader. Are you looking forward to that?

Jared Leto (very good in Requiem for a dream and Mr. Nobody)
Lee Pace
Kiefer Sutherland
Haley Joel Osment
F. Murray Abraham
Tom Hulce
Nathan Fillion
Irène Jacob

I would've said Michael Fassbender, but he's on fire this year.

Michael Fassbender needs to be in everything playing every role, so by being a mere mortal he's underused.
