Post Shorts!
This can be anything from contemporary short films to the old Loony Tunes segments, as long as it's not feature length and made its debut theatrically. What are your favorite shorts?

I recommend 12:01 PM, which was the partial inspiration for Groundhog Day. It stars Kurtwood Smith (aka the dad in That 70's Show), who is stuck in a continuous hour-long loop.

The entire film is available on Youtube, for those interested. It's worth checking out.

I took the liberty of YouTubing both of those.

Six Shooter

Wallace and Gromit

I've never heard of Six Shooter, but it has Brendan Gleeson, which, in my opinion, makes it automatically worth checking out. And I've definitely heard of Wallace and Gromit, but haven't seen any of it yet.

Here's my contribution.

I will probably go to my grave with the opinion that these are among the finest animated movies ever made. They're almost peerless in their genre, even today.

On the subject of animated shorts, you can't go wrong with Don Hertzfelt.

Wallace & Gromit is el fantastico, and I'm pretty sure 6 Shooter is the guy who eventually made In Brughes.

I think you're right about In Bruges. I remember reading something about it, anyway.

Here's a fun one from Tim Burton, from before he did Peewee's Big Adventure.

Hard to believe he got fired by Disney for this, who thought it was unsuitable for children. I would have loved this when I was a kid, not to mention now.

 It's my first time seeing this short and i like it. It's hardly terrifying for kids, but Burton always had that gothic feel for his films.

Incredibly enough, this is a fan film. One guy designed and animated the whole thing himself.
