I was never in a band, but I did work with a guy who had a thrash metal band called The Hermaphrodites. Their first album was called Go Fuck Yourself.

Sam Jackson, getting down to Stack O Lee Blues in Black Snake Moan. Bad. Ass.

I'm partial to the dirty old man singing at the beginning of The Godfather.

Joaquin Phoenix's rendition of Cocaine Blues is pretty awesome.

Jennifer Connelly in Dark City. Anita Kelsey's might be the superior performance--it's certainly more polished and secure--but Jennifer Connelly's restored voice in the Director's Cut works so much better. She has a very nice voice, but sounds a little uncertain, even restrained, which of course fits perfectly for someone who has been a nightclub singer for--SPOILER!--all of about an hour.

Ehhh I prefer the dubbed voice in Dark City, but your point is an interesting one that I had never considered but yet find valid. How odd :)

Gwyneth Paltrow in the so-so 2000 Karaoke Hustler flick Duets. They claim it's her voice. Not too shabby, not too shabby at all:

You know, for all the feathers you manage to ruffle you just can't hide the fact that you're a nice guy. I never expected the performance that popped up when I clicked on your link.

Yeah, I wanted it to be a surprise, the reason why that peformance resonates with me so much is because the song is about the main character's older brother(who died in a car crash)and that song reminds me of my cousin(who also died in a car crash) and how much she meant to me.

Right on!! This scene is a classic, even if it isn't Michael J. Fox's voice.

Others:

Wayne and his pals doing Bohemian Rhapsody in Wayne's World (don't tell me you don't do that when the song comes on the radio).

Cameron Diaz and her horrendous karaoke in My Best Friend's Wedding. Don't remember the song but it was hilarious.

That nerd that does Paradise City in Can't Hardly Wait

Speaking of nerds, the performance at the end of Revenge of the Nerds was also pretty funny.

Jack Black and the kids in School of Rock (props for doing an AC/DC encore)

SpongeBob singing to the tune of Twisted Sister's I Wanna Rock in The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie.

Diva Plavalaguna in The Fifth Element

" I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself." It takes talent to be that bad.

Great, excellently crafted arrangement using the Beethoven Melody from "Freude Schöner Götterfunken (Ode to Joy) " and completely re-harmonizing it.

Please ignore: 1) he lame movie this is in; 2) the hilariously old fashioned rap part (should be edited out). The rest is simply great - if you're into gospel music:

The musical number from Robin Hood: Men in Tights. "We may look like pansies, but you better watch out or else we'll put out your lights!"

Matt Damon fronting a punk band in EuroTrip. I know it wasn't his voice but seeing him there was hilarious.

Also, the musical numbers in Crazy Heart, especially the duet between Jeff Bridges and Colin Farrell... if that's the latter's real voice, consider me impressed.

We're knights of the round table
We dance when e're we're able
We do routines and chorus scenes
With footwork impecc-able
We dine well here in Camelot
We eat ham and jam and spam alot

We're knights of the round talbe
Our shows are for-mid-able
But many times, we're given rythmes
That are quite unsing-able
We're opera mad in Camelot
We sing from the diaphragm a lot

(dance sequence)

We're knights of the table
Although we live a fable
We're not just bums
With royal mums
We've brains that are quite a-ble
We've a busy life in Camelot.

I have to push the pram a lot.
