Ad covering links?

Post Ad covering links?
Is anyone else having this issue on the main page? The banner ad at the top of the site sits over the tabbed links. I'm having to click on a review or reel thoughts in order to be able to use the tabs.

Thanks,
-a

I just came to ask about this same problem. It started happening a while ago for me, but was infrequent. It seems to have increased substantially this week. I have to click refresh and quickly click the forums tab before the page fully loads. I don't know if this is everyone or not, but it's been happening almost everytime I come to the site this week.

Huh, it hasn't happened to me...at least not yet.

Could it be your browsers may be out-of date?

That's possible. I get on at work, which uses Internet Explorer 7, so yeah, that very well could be the problem.

That's not that old of a browser.
I will try in several browsers and see if I can duplicate the problem.

I get it as well, but I just refresh the page and it's gone. I'm also using IE 7.

Is it a specific advertisement that causes the problem?

I was unable to duplicate the problem with a number of browsers, but i didn't reload the pages very many times for each.

I think it's only one or two ads; I can't figure out which of my providers is serving them. The root cause is that they expand if they're "moused over" then sometimes malfunction and don't return to banner size when you remove the mouse. As was mentioned, a refresh should clear up the problem. It's getting progressive more difficult to regulate ads. It's enough of a struggle (and time-sink) to keep "objectionable" content and overtly problematic ads from appearing.

Not sure where else to put this but I have an issue with the current site.

For some reason, and I'm not sure if it actually is the site or something my end (I have no idea what it could be), the BP ad at the side of the reviews seems to partially cover up some of the text in the reviews and in the Reelthoughts. Anyone else getting this?

Thankyou.

Hey,

I've not encountered this, but I think it's the same problem a few other users were discussing here:
http://reelviews.net/reelviewsforum/viewtopic.php?f=42&t=1017

A page refresh seems to fix it.

So not fair...

I replied to a thread that the guy above me created in the "Open forum". A mod obviously merged it into this thread making me look like even more of a jackass than I usually do.

I'm still having this problem, no amount of refreshing seems to help =[

Refresh doesn't work for me in the UK. I'm afraid I'll be taking a sabbatical.

I have ads covering the main page this morning. One for toothpaste and another with generic links. This has yet to happen to me. I hope they'll be gone when I get home from work later tonight.

Refresh should work for the non-UK problem (UK problem is fixed). I bet you're using IE8.

If it happens again, send me the referring link and I'll block the ad.
