Hey James i was wondering this question. How many people you think have ever read the graphic novel. Of those who have read the graphic novel are going to see this film. Is it possible that under different circumstances that a different director and writer might have made this thing more interesting.

I love Yvonne Strahovsky and I'll probably end up seeing this, mostly for her. I know she probably doesn't have that great a part but I want to support her career. I'm actually a big fan of the Underworld movies (although I didn't care much for the last one, Awakening) and while this movie does look like it has a similar look, it doesn't look any near as good as the first 3 Underworld movies. But I'll probably end up seeing anyway.

Looks like Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit is really the only worthwhile January release although That Awkward Moment looks like a charming movie. I like the 3 leads of that movie.

I enjoyed all the Underworld films except for Rise Of The Lycans, which I found incredibly mediocre and unexciting. Anyways this film looks OK, but it's not something that looks like it's worth seeing in theaters, i'll probably see it on DVD.

This January has been pretty good for me in terms of films, i've enjoyed Lone Survivor, Jack Ryan and Ride Along.

I saw a different, shorter trailer and thought this looked interesting. But the trailer with the review looks like a bad video game. I think I'll pass.

I didn't include Her, Lone Survivor and Labor Day because they are 2013 releases being released wide in January.

I'd actually be interested in a video game version of the film.

The trailers for this looked really bad. I'm surprised JB gave it 1.5 stars.

Yeah me too - this is clearly a 1 star film ;-). After seeing that trailer you get the feeling you've already seen the entire movie. This won't even be a rental for me persoanlly, but I somehow unwittingly end up seeing most of these terrible movies eventually anyway.

Just got back from this and it's not THAT bad. IT looks fine and the action isn't bad since somebody knows how to use a tripod and coherently edit but the story is a mess, the dialogue is bad and Aaron Eckhart just growls his lines without any passion to them.

If you see it, it better be on TV where you can mute it and just look at it.

I'm a fan of the Underworld movies (except Underworld 2, which I thought was a mess), and I was enamored with Yvonne Strahovsky on Chuck, so I was keen to see this movie. Also, I just enjoy the spectacle of seeing a fun/action/CGI movie in IMAX 3D, and after seeing an abundance of serious, even depressing movies over the past couple of months, I was actually looking forward to this dumb CG-action movie. And I pretty much got exactly what I was expecting. The movie didn't exceed my expectations, but it didn't fall short either. It's not a good movie, by any means, but you'll probably enjoy it if you like Underworld. For the record, it falls well short of Underworld in my opinion. The characters aren't as well developed, the plot is a little cheesier, and I'd much rather watch Kate Beckinsale in a skin-tight leather wield semi-automatics than Aaron Eckhart grumble and bash heads in while Yvonne Strahovsky stands around and not do much. But it's in a similar style, it's about as good as the lesser Underworld sequels, and it's fairly entertaining if you like this sort of thing.

Someone on the internet commented that it's too bad there won't be a sequel to this. "II, Frankenstein" would have been a good title.

And that's pretty much all I have to say about this film.

You guys want this franchise to join the Fast and the Furious franchise and the Final Destination movies as the franchise with the worst titles?

Frankenstein's monster not a superhero

I think writer of Frankenstein
The screenplay is written in 30 minutes
If more than 30 minutes, the screenplay should doubt
Everything is bad Frankenstein.
Bad screenplay
Silly dialogues
Awful Visual effects
Aaron Eckhart has played bad
My rating: 1 / 10
