And
Moonstruck. And
Birdy. And
Wild at Heart. And
Adaptation. And
Lord of War. And
Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans. And he's been rather good in some bad films too, such as
The Rock or
Con Air.
You have to admire Nicolas Cage. He must be the hardest working man in showbusiness at the moment. Here's a man who is hugely in debt to the taxman and who had to sell off his Bavarian castle and Bahamas island. But does he get depressed and curls up in a corner, sobbing uncontrollably? No, he rolls up his sleeves and takes any job that comes his way to pay his debts, tucking into roles, which require him to pee flaming urine with gusto.
Therefore, we should all appreciate Nicolas Cage for his work ethic. Unless he's asleep on the job as in
The Sorcerer's Apprentice and
Season of the Witch, that is.
And finally, Nic Cage has an excuse for taking on any role available to him. What's Al Pacino's excuse for
Jack and Jill?
