You know, after seeing the trailer over and over, I was hoping you'd think better of it. >/ It'd be nice to see Ben Affleck have an acting revival on a Hollywoodland level, but I guess there's still hope for State of Play. Maybe.

I cried my eyes out at my first viewing of Love Actually in New York. I was on a business trip and saw the film before making a presentation to a client!

I gave love Actually 3.5 stars! Not optimistic about this new movie though.

Love, Actually is a much better movie. That being said, they are targeting the same audience. This one just doesn't do things as well. The main problem is that a couple of the stories are major misfires. (The ones featuring Goodwin & Long and Barrymore.)

The biggest problem is it's a "filmization" of a self-help book. This can be done, as with the examples James mentioned in his review, but it's a lot harder than it looks. I still want to see it, but I'll wait for video and save my movie budget for something more entertaining.
