Post What movie world would you like to live in?
There are some movies that give you a sense that there is much more happening off screen, even if it is completely irrelevant to the story. Sometimes I just want to touch the screen and get sucked into it.

I posed my choices: Heat, Harry Potter, Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, and Star Wars, on my website, but what are yours?

Within the intent of this thread that would be Major League. Playing baseball at the highest level while hanging out with (mostly) fun loving people would be it for me.

Not in the spirit of this thread would be Sirens.

It's an interesting question this, as it will probably to some extent reveal people's views of the world around them.

James Bond for me - Skyfall in particular here - for it's view of the outside world as new and exotic but Britain at core, somewhat dry and rustic. Although, I bet many people view their own homes and outside worlds in such a way.

But to answer the question - yeah James Bond for 1. Also, for some reason, the dark urban look of Fight Club holds a grim fascination. It presents the everyday American city in a really dark and intriguing style.

The Matrix post Revolution. Since the matrix would still be up, you could potentially jack in and out of it whenever you wanted (provided you were one of the poeple had plugs). Talk about being able to play what should be one of the most incredible video games ever.

Well rustic isn't exactly the term I'd use for any place I've lived over here. Still, I do love that dry, rustic atmosphere in a movie. Not sure I'd be dying to live in it, but I love watching it.

A.I. and Minority Report would be kind of fun to live in for a week or so.

Why not? Who among us wouldn't mind living in a remote, lush countryside full of hot, young, uninhibited women who spend most of their days frolicking around, skinny-dipping, and/or posing nude for paintings?

It's a step up from "Debbie Does Dallas," at least. ;)

Along those same lines, I would say "Exit to Eden" then.

I'm going with AVATAR, provided of course I can have my consciousness inside one of the Navi'. Being 9 feet tall AND riding dragons? That's as good as it gets right there.

A black and white 1940's post war film noir with Dana Andrews as my tough talking sidekick(or would I be his sidekick?) and Linda Darnell as my femme fatale. Wow that sounds like a holodeck episode from Star Trek.

Really hard to think of a movie when the television series 'True Detective' has run this year. Rust Cohle and I are that fucking similar it was hard for to disassociate myself from his character, in every fucking way. We could be the best.
