Well, I just now, because of this discussion, went to YouTube and heard/watched "Let it Go" for the first time. This is the song that won the Oscar? Disposable pop fluff. Not even very memorable.

"The Moon Song" from Her, however, was beautiful and poignant.

Not very memorable? Tell that to the evil beast inside my head that makes me remember fragments of lyrics every other minute

Frankly, lyrical content is pretty much the only thing to which I really DON'T pay much attention in music. The song otherwise sounds like your stereotypical modern Broadway musical showstopper. :|

Well, I guess hearing it one time wasn't enough to have it lodge in my brain. If you asked me now to hum the melody, or give one lyric besides "let me go," I couldn't even come close.

The animation was pretty cool though. I remember the images, but not a single thing about the song.

I guess not (since it's "let it go" not "let me go".) :D

Just to let you know, that someone (possibly Satan) has uploaded the entire Frozen soundtrack to YouTube, and said soundtrack was played twice in my house last night.

Oh man.

I saw a poster someone had made that said; "This Classroom has Gone 0 Days Without a Song from Frozen"

I saw this in April and thought it average (5/10). I have to admit musicals do nothing for me in the general sense. The signature song "Let it Go" I thought was also very average - can't believe it has gotten so much traction. It's just average in every way shape and form. Frozen. Average. That about sums it up.

"The cold never bothered me anyway." The most haunting lyric of the whole song.
