If this movie is playing anywhere near you, go see it. I saw it last night in Bethesda, MD and its my first four-star film of the year. Brillant, powerful, topical, multi-layered, and best of all, apolitical. It certainly deserves the accolades it has received.

Will definitely see this when it makes it to Florida.

Heh, ironic. Perhaps Florida could use a few showings of this movie, if you get my drift.

Deadline.com reports that Fruitvale Station director Ryan Coogler is close to directing Creed, a spin-off of the popular Rocky franchise that will focus on Apollo Creed's grandson. Fruitvale Station star Michael B. Jordan is the first choice for the lead role, and Sylvester Stallone will revive his beloved character in the film.

Saw it today. ****.

This film hits like a punch to the gut. It doesn;t get cuang up in poltics, it just tells the story. And it works. I heard the woman sitting behind me crying as it neared the conclusion.

This one will definitely be on my year end top ten list.
