I didn't see it on his review line-up.

I PMed James and he said that the press screening of the film conflicted with the one of White House Down so he couldn't make it, and he said that he didn't feel like paying $11.25 to see it on opening weekend as he didn't think it looked very good, and he said that even if he did see it, he probably wouldn't review it, so my guess is no, he's not going to review it.

He told me in an email he's seeing it tonight but whether or not he writes a review is up in the air.

I asked him and he said that he saw the film and that it was "Ok" and had some laughs but it wasn't really inspiring enough for him to write a review for it, if he had to assign a star rating it would be **1/2

Yeah, that's why I hope JB has taken to twitter a bit more for short write-ups of movies he didn't feel compelled enough for a full review.

Damn it! That's what I guessed in the contest! He should've reviewed it, that way I'd pass Pedro. :D

Just got back from seeing this, and I have to say it's one of the funniest comedies i've seen in a long time, Bullock and McCarthy have perfect chemistry, there's too many quotable lines to list.

They can not make Sandra Bullock ugly, no matter how much they try! Damn, even when her hair is fucked up, she's still so unbelievably gorgeous and sexy!

Movie was okay. Definitely better than I thought it would be. I didn't like it in the beginning. Melissa McCarthy's character was so abrasive and unlikeable. I hated her. But as she and Bullock started to team up, she became a little softer and I actually enjoyed the chemistry between her and Bullock. Some funny R rated moments as well. Such as

[Reveal] Spoiler:
at the end when Bullock shoots the bad guy in the balls, twice. Great stuff!

The scene where Bullock and McCarthy drink all night at the bar is hilarious, as is the scene in the night club.

Some people are over doing the praise. I'm looking at you Richard Roeper. Up there with 48 Hours and the original Lethal Weapon? Really Rich?

But it's another summer surprise for me. A movie I was dreading and it actually was fairly decent. Nothing especially memorable, but decent, lightweight entertainment.

I went in expecting another lame comedy like "this is the end" or worse, "identity thief." I was surprised. Te plot was a throwaway, but I laughed hard and I laughed often.
