Post Len Wiseman out of Mummy reboot. All I can say is...
THANK YOU!

I loved the first two mummy movies (the less said about the third, the better). The thought of Wiseman, the tween boy behind the camera, getting his hands on that broke my heart.

I think it's going to suck no matter who directs it. This series was pretty lousy and overrated to begin with, i'm surprised it was so succesful when the films were all incredibly mediocre and forgettable, and I don't expect the reboot to suck any less.

I actually think Wiseman is a pretty talented director, but I think he's better off staying far away from a film that's pretty much destined to be shit no matter what.

I'm a fan of Wiseman's. Total Recall sucked but I enjoyed Live Free or Die Hard and the first two Underworld movies.

The first two Mummy movies, Returns especially, were really fun popcorn flicks. I'm intrigued by this "reboot" since they are going for a darker tone apparently.

Personally I really dug the Total Recall remake and don't get the hate for it, I hear now he's filming a Sleepy Hollow tv series, not sure how that will work out.
