That's about it. I've been working some sick hours, days, nights, and most weekends. Whenever I had time to watch something, I was usually catching up with TV shows or watching NBA playoffs, so not a lot of time for films.

LOL, real life trumps my movie watching desires. Like I said, I've been working some hectic schedules lately, which includes Saturdays so the only time I get to probably sit down and relax is on Sundays, and I usually try to spend it with my wife, catching up with the weekly TV shows, or watching NBA playoffs.

Dude you're in fucking college and you only managed 6 more than me. I'm not feeling that your nuttage was good enough to criticize me for a lack of nuttage. As the Good Book says, let he who is unimpeachably nut-tastic cast the first stone (into another man's nuts)

Might as well get the halftime score in now, before the whole thing gets derailed by a certain flying man.

JUNE

Road House (Rifftrax edition)
12 Monkeys
J.C.V.D.
The Mighty Ducks
Horrible Bosses
Man of Steel
The Running Man
Man of Steel Some More

You know, in honor of you Ken, my series to complete next school year might be Superman. It'll probably give me a better good:bad ratio than Star Trek did

I don't know about that. The big guy's history on the screen is pretty checkered.

That's not to say that the movies aren't worth checking out for historical interest, but most people could probably lead a full and happy life having seen just the 1978 film.

Post Re: Viewing Journal -- 2013
I'll probably see a few more films this month, but I'll just edit them in when I see them. I've only seen one new film so far this month [Oops, two], but no really bad ones, partly because I'm going through Criterion classics. It's been a very good month. The only question on Early Summer is whether it will be in my top 100 or top 50. It's close to being a perfect film of its type. Army of Shadows may also wind up in my top 100. Libeled Lady, not quite, but it's somewhere in my top 200.

Libeled Lady (6/2) (9 of 10)
The Story of Louis Pasteur (6/3) (7.5 of 10)
Now You See Me 6/5 (6 of 10)
Army of Shadows (6/7) (9 of 10)
It (1927) 6/10 (6 of 10)
Mississippi Masala 6/11 (8.5 of 10)
The Life of Emile Zola 6/14 (7.5 of 10)
This is the End 6/15 (6.5 of 10)
The Phantom Carriage 6/16 (8.5 of 10)
The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey (rewatch) 6/17 (7/10)
Late Spring 6/18 (8 of 10)
David Copperfield (1935) 6/21 (6 of 10, but W. C. Fields and Anna May Robson are great)
Deep Water 6/23 (7.5 of 10)
Early Summer 6/23 (9.25 of 10; I keep shuttling between 9 and 9.5)
Nanook of the North 6/24 (7 of 10; 7.5 for historical importance)
Chaplin 6/25 (6 of 10)
Monsters University 6/26 (8 of 10)
Funny Face (1957) 6/28 (7.5 of 10) Bonjour, Paris!
King of Beggars (1992) 6/30 (7 of 10)
Kings of Pastry (2009) 6/30 (5.0 of 10)

Here's my list from 2007. I'll have to revise it sometime. It would now include several Langs and one or two Mizoguchi films (Ugetsu and Sansho the Bailiff), and probably "Early Spring". Also A Separation and The Battle of Algiers would probably be in the top 100.

I gotta say (and I have the same problem with JB) that it offends me when a TV series shows up in a "Greatest/Favorite Movies" list

It doesn't really bother me. [/Vexer response]

I'm going to see Rush tonight, so I'm going to get my final June tally in now in case I don't get around to it after my ears have been pummeled with the power of a 50 piece drumkit.

Road House (Rifftrax edition)
12 Monkeys
J.C.V.D.
The Mighty Ducks
Horrible Bosses
Man of Steel
The Running Man
Man of Steel Some More
Strangers on a Train
